Those goggles have been tested against blue and green lasers, NOT red. They will NOT protect you from a red laser at all. You need a different type of goggle to protect you from that wavelength. The lens will be blue. And yes it should light a match or pop a balloon in a second or less.

Well their all pretty cheap but after seeing the results of some of the tests you referred to, I acknowledge that the OP could in fact use them even though they aren't designed for laser protection.
