A standard three element glass, the LPM reading was done on some partially drained batteries, current to the diode is 500 mA. I believe I've LPM'd it at over 280 mW before but I can't remember exactly. My charger is broken ATM, but I can guarantee it'll do at least 275 mW. As always, buyer will...

I've had this host sitting around forever and decided to put something in it. The host really is far too nice for a 826 but I was tired of looking at it. I used a 500 mA Jib driver that I wired up with a 470 Ohm resistor and a blue LED as to make use of the LED hole in the host. If anyone is...

^Yep, that is the general consensus from what I've seen, on DTR's page he suggests keeping under 800 mA on the ones he sells, I would trust his wisdom. Keep in mind also that running any diode at near max current is going to create a lot of heat that you have to get rid of. Good luck!

The 12X diodes have the same pin out as the 445s, i.e. they can be set up the same way. Do not exceed 500 mA of current if you want the 12X to stick around. ;)

You're not going to get a visible beam in a well lit room with anything within that power range. If you want visibility go with green. I can see the beam of my ~180 mW green in my house with the lights on during the day, but then again it wasn't super bright fluorescent lighting. Whatever...
