You can get those on eBay for 3usd and it’s called TEC it is used mostly in DPSS lasers, where temperature is key factor of the process.

Depending what color of walls do you have. I have white-painted walls and even 6watt focused to infinity wont do anything to my wall. I recommend to use black painted brick or beamstop to stop the beam. But it will burn your furniture easily, so watch out. Stay safe and don’t do anything before...

Best option so far is the same 10w Diode that was used before it died. New will cost $248, plus I don’t have test load to test driver current, etc. This laser was outputting way more than 1 or 2w.
