Could anyone tell me what Laser this could be?

Very funny guys. OP stated the label says <200mW so 170mW-190mW or somewhere around there is a reasonable guess for a laser that is likely shipped from China. I clearly said that I'm guessing.

    Question about SingPost

Thanks for the answers guys. It's only been like 3 days so I have no worries at all. I honestly didn't think my order would be shipped until today because I ordered it Thursday of last week, and apparently it shipped. USPS.com says that it is still in Singapore, which isn't really all that...

    Question about SingPost

I have a package coming from Hong Kong, China, and it is being shipped by Sing Post. I was wondering if any of you know whether the tracking info is A. accurate, and B. whether it will be updated after it arrives in the US. It currently says "ITEM DESPATCHED TO OVERSEAS" and it's location says...

Could anyone tell me what Laser this could be?

I have never seen that specific laser before, but it will be near 200mW. I'm guessing it's probably around 175mW-195mW. It might be over 200mW if you are lucky.

    Is this possible?

I think it's probably true. It's probably only 700mW, but that's a ton of power for a 532nm laser. Green is extremely bright to cameras and people.

    Looking for a "test" 50mW 532nm handheld

I plan to use a custom host for a green build later this year, but I want to see just how bright a 50mW is in person before I decide if I want to get an 100mW or maybe 200mW green module. I am looking for suggestions on what to get. What I have found so far: LZSK - 532nm 50mW Focusable Green...

    Eudaimonium's machine shop

Good luck getting a mill :) Thanks for the update about the hosts. I look forward to seeing the designs.

Any idea when you will come up with another host design?

Cheap Safety Goggles Destructive Test: Uvex S0360X Ultra-spec 2000

Thanks for the answer. I just ordered three pairs of these glasses. All I really care about is blocking the green light since our eyes are most sensitive to it. I know that IR is just a dangerous and sometimes even more dangerous because there is no blink reflex for it, but I don't think it will...

Cheap Safety Goggles Destructive Test: Uvex S0360X Ultra-spec 2000

For the 532nm (ignoring IR at the moment, I plan to put a filter in once I get a host made or find a nice flashlight I like) testing, what power laser did you use? Also, did the LPM go to zero when you put the glasses in the way since you said the light was blocked? I don't plan on using these...

Direct Green Laser Diode Technology Progress

This really makes me want to hold off on getting a >300mW DPSS green and wait for a 100mW direct green, but I don't think we honestly will see these diodes under $250 before 2014, maybe 2015. I hope this happens sooner, but I don't see it happening at this point.

    Getting rid of my laser

Please post the exact laser you have. If it is meant for DJ/Professional lighting use, it's actually likely that it's not harmful (unless you directly look into it obviously). If the total power is 30mW and it is being split into many beams, there should be no problems. It's when you have a...

A laser for astronomy application as well as teaching use?

If you want to be able to point with the beam, 30mW should be more than enough at night. I would actually go for a 15mW pointer if possible because most put out more than they say they do at low powers. A cheap red for inside use would be good for your other teaching.

    O-like Free shipping?

I'd probably just pay for shipping. I think it's only $7 for one laser to be shipped to the US. No idea where you are though, so it could vary a lot. Edit: Duh... You set your profile location. Shipping should be ~$7 for you.

    Eudaimonium's machine shop

Any word on the new designs? I am very seriously hunting for a nice host for a 532nm module to be put in. I am willing to pay a decent amount for a host that looks good (really what I'm after is looks otherwise I would just use a flashlight) and has decent heatsinking. Your phobos looks good and...

It is safe to buy this laser pointer?

It's fake. Don't buy it. 1000mW greens are almost $1000 still because DPSS lasers are expensive. They don't make true 1W green handhelds because they get too hot too fast. There are some 750mW greens, but those are still about $1000 for decent ones.

Just got my first apple product, now I need apps

I just went to microcenter and got an iPad 2 16gb wifi (black) this morning, and now I need some apps for my new gadget. Anyone have any suggestions? Unfortunately I couldn't afford to get an ipad and i7 3770k in the same trip though, microcenter had the 3770k for $290 with a $20 gift card as a...

    lazerer bank transfer green laser

I see no reason why not. Lazerer (Max) is a reputable dealer for lasers and has no reason to ruin his good reputation. The lasers are good, just check the review section and you will see a few.

    Can this be true?

If it's labeled <500mW and you are getting ~487mW I think that it's about right. Especially after you said that you are getting about ~30mW overspec from your spartan. It looks fine to me, but I'm no expert.

Nichia 515nm 25mW Laser Diode Specs - Now Published

A guy named Will R. (last name not put for privacy reasons) was willing to sell 515nm diodes to me for $250 a piece but it turned out other larger buyers paid a premium to get them before me. I do believe that these will be under $200 by the end of the year.
