GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes I know. Comment stands. If someone else wants to test a diode after they've received theirs and share the results, I say go for it. But I don't see any reason to complicate the GB itself with anything like that. No reason to create extra steps or potential for delay.

GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes Boo to that suggestion. Don't hold up sending them out to wait on testing. Let people test their own if necessary once they get them, but I don't particularly want my diode held up waiting for testing that isn't important to me.

GB: CNC'd Host + Driver for 40 Watt 460-465nm Laser Array

I 3D printed this prototype, and it's far too big for comfort. It feels bulky. Needs some shrinking. I've got a new revision in the works that slims down quite a bit, and I'm hoping will feel more comfortable. If so, ok do a plastic print build, and see how it works (no real duty cycle beyond a...

GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes My lenses from the GB were perfect. And even if they weren't, it takes seven seconds and a q-tip to clean single element lenses.

GB | 515nm Diodes - Payments Stage Starts at 10th July

Re: GB | 515nm Diodes It would be cool if you could mix in another lens GB. That was one of the best GBs on lpf in recent memory.

    Panasonic 3200mAh 18650s - $5

Lol, welcome to the world of ordering clothes from Asia. I'll never do that again. Their sizing is entirely different than ours. An XL in China is similar to a medium in North America. Not kidding.

    Looking for a boost IC

The LT1370 is basically idiotproof, and easily hand solderable. Page 13 has a li ion to 5V example circuit. http://www.linear.com/docs/5180

    Brand new custom host?

Why not go totally unique, and do a form factor that differs from the norm. I like my Photino hosts a lot. You could do a host that was sort of a scaled up version of that concept, so that it was easier to use, and maybe took a standard LiPo size.

The "Clean Edge" Driver - 2.85A driver for pushing 462s (478nm hit so far)

Re: The "Clean Edge" Driver - 2.85A driver for pushing 462s (478nm hit so far) Wow! First and foremost, thank you for such thorough testing. You really put a lot of work into that torture test. I'm really grateful. It's neat to see something you've designed "on paper" / "in your head" (ie...

SuperBoost Drive (5.5+ amp boost driver)

I use 0.015 or 0.01 most of the time as well. You can get that fet resistance down a lot. I use one that is 5 mohms, if I'm not mistaken.
