Triple HID flashlight build (In progress)

Re: Flashlight build (In progress) Sector_Cleared(sp) on CPF was designing a 10A driver at one point I think. Der witchel(sp) also had some SST-90 drivers I believe, so I'd look around the CPF B/S/T, the custom section at least.

Help!! need 5A and 9A driver for sst-50/90 (lesser current but parallel-able is ok)

DX has some SST-50/90 drivers that should work: $8.90 - 12V SST-90 5-Mode Memory Circuit Board for Flashlights - Flashlight Parts and Tools $6.90 - 8.4V SST-50 5-Mode Memory Circuit Board for Flashlights - Flashlight Parts and Tools

Best flashlight for like 200 dollar?

One thing to remember with almost all flashlights (just take it as this unless they specifically state otherwise) is that the lumen rating is the number of lumens at the 'bulb'. So while you may see a light labelled as 800 lumens with an SST-50, these aren't OTF lumens, even a really good...

Best flashlight for like 200 dollar?

HIDs are known for throwing long distances as well, if you're looking for that. They're great illumination tools and the one I linked should leave you some money left over, it's <$150 shipped to me, and you're closer so shipping should be less. Edit: Post 2,700

Best flashlight for like 200 dollar?

10W HIDs are more in the range of about 750-800 lumens but any HID below 35W is gonna be inefficient due to the ballast. If you want lots of light cheap, get a 50 or 65W HID torch from eBay, it should total less than $200 including a case, shipping, battery pack, and charger. You should see...

What cells? Custom or stock light? Color temp you're looking for? LED, incan, or HID?

    [WTB] Complete build 445nm Laser

It will, but I think he just wants the lower powers because it's easier to enjoy a laser when it's Class IIIB or on the very edge of Class IV. Wb matrixcs by the way, was wondering where you went.

Drink lots of water to flush your system and pray it's just a urine test.

    TECs from c4$10 projectors

12V at several amps if memory serves. I can probably find out for certain in a while. Edit: Well don't listen to that. Apparently it's 5VDC @ 2.6A. I was thinking of the power total in watts, oops.

Does anyone know, or have the ability to measure the actual diameter of an Aixiz?

The Aixiz module is 12mm diameter. I read somewhere long ago that the tolerances for the modules are +/- .2mm.

    Frequency doubling the SSY-1

There are some 'cheap' Nd:YAG frequency doubled units for skin care on eBay, all from China, they're 1064/532, pulsed. Average price is about $1800 or so I believe. Laserscopes are another option, but are usually $10k+ and incredibly dangerous pieces of equipment for a multitude of reasons, one...

    637 nm Red Guidesman - 201mW Build

I didn't think aryntha had a spectrometer? I know Cyparagon does, and he's been active more recently than LED_Museum, so he's a viable choice simply because LED might be harder to contact.

    Frequency doubling the SSY-1

If they have the Q-switch, it would be somewhat easier as less power would be lost due to inefficiency (relatively less power, as without the Q-switch the pulsed power is much higher, resulting in more power after doubling.) It's entirely possible to do this, yes, it just requires a KTP capable...

    637 nm Red Guidesman - 201mW Build

Well keep in mind that LOC/LCC diodes are ~658nm, not 650nm, so there's a difference. But I agree, why buy a 63Xnm diode for the color difference, only to drive the wavelength dimmer by trying to make it brighter. Just wondering.
