I have one battery, 2800mAh, which for no reason I can see, causes my 445 to strobe. all my other batteries work fine with it, and this battery also works fine with other lasers. The voltage on it is fine too. Im not sure why, but sounds like you just have a battery that doesnt agree with 445...

at 50mW heat is unlikely to be a problem, unless its a pen host. any host thicker than a pen host will probably be fine so long as it has a clicky switch and fits your laser holder thing. i'd like to see the reactions of the "its illegal" people if you brought an 800mW hercules with you one day...

lol i bought a magnifying glass for my argon thats coming. if you get a dorito packet with black on it you can slice straight through it like a knife. at least I can with my 900mW 445 properly focused. failz on lack of arctic focusing. :p

well, I have it more or less equally on either side of the main rectangle. its not dirt since it doesnt rotate with the lense. The only way I can think of fixing it is to use a lense with a further focal point. then it can be screwed in further for the same effect.
