i think this is exagerating a bit lol. its fairly hard to get burnt by the beam. you have to be moving through it fairly slowly at the focal point to get burnt. and if its even focused at infintity you near enough need to be almost completely still to induce a burn.

I have refined bug killing techniques with my 445. arctic wouldnt work well cos u cant focus it. I just focus the point beside the insect. they run once i hit em but by then its focused. what do you mean by CNI GLP-447 300mW? isnt that the pen host they only offer upto 5mW? also how are you managing to sell these 405s so cheap when on your site you have them listed as more expensive, also with pictures of them in apparently non-cni hosts?

well, the most power you will easily get from a handheld will probably be a few watts of IR. I've seen a video of a 4W argon laser that looked impressive. was pretty big though.
