    Blu-Ray and DX200 pics

Here are some pics of my new blu-ray from IgorT and the DX200 red. However I realized that I left the UV filter on the camera so the beam looks dimmer and more like blue but in reality its violet and the brightness is the same as the DX200 I'll try to make more pics without the UV filter

    Holiday is over

Oh no my holiday is over (back to the crowded ant nest and traffic jams)  :'( :'( :'( We're leaving tomorrow morning. (at least we have another week @home before work starts) But I've got a package with a blu-ray from IgorT waiting when we got back.    :)

Green laser that burns better than a dilda?

I'm using the dilda for a while now (except for the last two weeks cause I didn't took it with me) and it's burning very nice. I've read in the red lasers section that because of the fact its focusable it burns better than a 200mw green. So how many mw of green (unfocussed) do I need to get a...

Just ordered a laser today :)

Oh and I was thinking I was currently the only one in Sweden with an X-85 ;D I'm on holiday here (Gotland) and took my X-85 with me. ;)

    Impossible to get CR2 rechargeables?

Update: I've tried to order them from KD (they were in stock on their website) But after finishing the order it was backorderd as well, so I canceled the order and requested a refund. No use waiting on two shipments for the same item So it seems it really IS impossible to get these batteries.

    Impossible to get CR2 rechargeables?

Hi, On the 13th of Juli I've ordered the green surefire batteries(CR2 3V) for my dilda laser from DX. Soon after that it was backordered to the 22th, when is was the 22th they changed it to the 31th. Last week I received my charger, when it was finally the 31th the orders went into "packaging"...

Diffuse Beam Viewing: When is dangerous...

Well I think just a short accidental reflection from a diffuse surface isn't that harmfull from a 300 or 400mw and maybe not even from the lower powered class VI lasers. Safety regulations are usually stricter than necessary, (better safe than sorry i guess) According to the same regulations a...

Diffuse Beam Viewing: When is dangerous...

Re: Diffuse Beam Viewing It depends on the power of the laser , the color of the surface, the duration, ambient light and your distance from the dot. When I look shortly at the dot of my X85 on a white ceiling from a distance of 2 ft it's not a real problem. But if keep looking at this from...

If you could get a free 300mw green?

Yes that's true ,  however my wife wanted me to order a blu-ray laser(and she paid for it) because it's her favorite color.    :-* But it took me almost a year to get her used to the idea that I want to buy a $1000 laser, but that's ok now,   within a few months I will have one.   8-)   I've...

If you could get a free 300mw green?

The Spyder is rated 200-300mW which is a huge range but I was indeed assuming that it would put out 300mW (purely hypothetical that is) Anyway: If money wasn't an issue my own choice would be the Herc for a few reasons: 100% runtime, runs on standard D cells or on adapter, the X10DR accessory...

So if lasers are so cheap to build then...........

Re: So if lasers are so cheap to build then....... I think it might have something to do with the fact the manufacturing diodes is a random process which get low and high quality products. The high quality diodes are rare and therefore more expensive. Besides that you have the crystals (for...

Is staring at the dot of the red DX200 harmfull?

Re: Is staring at the dot of the red DX200 harmful The headache lasted even this morning, but my goggles from Greg have arrived so no more burning without them. 8-)

    Device for continuos operation?

There's a lot of devices What wavelength do you need? How long do you want to use it (without turning it off) How much power? Oh I almost forgot the most important question: how much do you want to spend?

Is staring at the dot of the red DX200 harmfull?

My goggles will probably arrive this week but I couldn't resist to test the burning capabilities of the red DX200. Of course I'm not using it with optics or on reflective objects without the goggles Only to burn non-reflective surfaces like matches. But after a while I get a little headache...

    Best 300mw laser?

As far as I know the Herc300(laserglow) and RPL300(optotronics) are the best 300mw green handhelds. But a little above your budged. However the Hulk Ultra 300 from Dragonlasers which is $799 seems to be the right price but there's not much info on the Hulk(except from a few burning videos on...

What CR2 batteries should I get?

I'm waiting for the rechargeable cr2's as well and they should be in stock on july-22 but now they have changed it to july-31. So I guess that will be around the 15th of august before I have them if I'm lucky. (It will cost me a fortune using the Lithium cr2's) Just like 360freak I'm wondering...

I couldn't resist to try another few tricks with it. I tried some morning glory (chinese sparklers) which burned in 5 seconds Blackpowder and fireworks fuse all went fine (and the batteries aren't even fresh anymore)
