    Kryton Grooves coming back!

Stupid question Does this host need a module or heat sink or is it just add Driver Diode and Lense?

    First 520nm Consumer Kill?

My PL520 zombified too for no reason after 20 minutes of 150ma. Your story sounds very similar. I'm concern about blowing another $150 on another diode. These are new and have no proven reliability.

    Custom 520nm MSV2

Here. I have no LPM, but it's a Swimsurfer Super-overspec VS a 150ma PL520. Easy to tell apart when they're next to each other

    Osram PL520 50mW 520nm Laser Diode

520nm may work better than dpss with 650nm in the beam combiners to make yellows and oranges. Someone should try it soon. Also would like to see how it combines with the Osram 450 50mw, it should mimic 488nm.

PL520 Diodes - What Host Will YOU Use?

What modules are those diodes compatible with?

    Guidesman host?

I have a guidesman M140 build from a year old build. The wires ripped off the diode and I have yet to re solder them. Also the driver cavity was glued improperly and is loose and causing switch problems. All probably fixable. I'm willing to sell the whole thing. PM me.

    55mW Green Laser saftey questions

I tried looking at the dot of a 60mw green from about 50ft away. It was very hard on the eyes so I'm not trying it again without goggles.

    CT shooter

That article you quoted shows no clear warning signs. There are weird shy kids at every school. Okay weird shy people may have a 1/500,000 chance of going postal as opposed to the 1/2,000,000 chance normal people have. His mom would have been the only one to see serious warning signs if there...

    Nichia 1W @ 525nm

Nice Osram, Sony and Nichia are all in the race.

    eBay gambles: how I got a 25mW 488nm DPSS for $75...

Not much, the 15mw 488nm is a much better score for personal use. You'll have a cool color thats actually visible. Not to mention you'll keep your eyesight and not burn down your house.

Review: 510nm Direct Green Diodes / Build Photos (DGH-N1, DGH-N2)

510-515 isn't Ideal for projectors. If some of them do come off the assembley line with wavelegnths that short I wonder what they do with them? If they can't be used for projectors somone here will find a way to get a hold of them.

Are there any hosts with SPST switches

That will be fine. I will probably just rehost my guidesman, I think the switch on that host is just a poor design, or maybe it was just built wrong.

Are there any hosts with SPST switches

I have a guides-man 1.3W 445nm. The hosts has a crappy push button toggle switch that sticks and will not go down all the way when the batteries are in. I can never be sure what state the switch is in when I put in the batteries in so I have to have glasses on. (Always a good precaution...

    eBay potmod 5mW

It all depends how expensive the Laser is. $5 is not much to lose.

473nm - Minumum mW for Good Beam Visibility at Night without fog?

450 nm is very good at night. any sort of fog or rain even better. I assume 473 beam is almost as good. I can see 10mw indoors in the dark pretty well.

Is there a better bang for buck laser than this o-like 50mw?

How much should a 50mw 445nm blue complete pointer be?

445nm has it's own subforum where are the moderators to move the thread?

dumb question about green laser pointers

$300 if they can get 17 more people in the GB. Then he has to build the laser. So 532nm is the only cheap pointer. I thought there was an expensive DPSS 556nm that someone got there hands on a while back. Edit 556 not 565 here's the thread...
