    Green Laser Pointer SD/YGI/JD/HY-303

The 303 is a good starting laser, around 50 mW with a reasonable price. In sites like those (you maybe be referring AliExpress?) you need to see the reputation of the seller, so the chances that you get a good one is very high. The problems with those lasers was already well stated, but I...

    Hello World :)

Welcome to LPF, I hope you enjoy it! :yh: Your English is OK, English isn't my main language too, so don't worry about it.

    Guilty Pleasure

I like the labby ones, but sometimes, I lose my interest into lasers, then it comes back again. :yh:

Laserbtb Handheld 100mW 532nm IR filtered laser

Glad to hear this! :yh: Maybe you can change this switch with a good one and have your laser 100% again.

    Scavenge lenses from DVD Players

One day I repaired my 303 laser using one of the little lenses found on DVD-RW drives (the one inside the sled), take in mind that the focal distance must be perfect to it work, unless if you know how to tweak the laser to suit the focal length.

Laserbtb Handheld 100mW 532nm IR filtered laser

Some lasers have power modes, for ex. 100% 40% and 10%, controlled by PWM, maybe it's your case. Good luck with laserbtb, but I think they will re compensate you.

Laserbtb Handheld 100mW 532nm IR filtered laser

Only one green I had required a warmup period, no really scary mode hoping modes. If you get some new information from laserbtb keep us updated.

Laserbtb Handheld 100mW 532nm IR filtered laser

I never seen such crazy laser before. You got a defective laser. :cryyy: Contact laserbtb and explain your situation, they are known for good consumer service, maybe they can do something to help you. :yh: Good luck!

Just got a Green 303, advice?

Try to paint a match with a black marker and then try to light it, you can paint a balloon with the same marker and try to pop it. All the 303 I had was able to do it. Don't forget to focus it correctly. Usually, those Chinese lasers are 50~100mW (IR green), you can get anything between 5mW...

Just got a Green 303, advice?

Will cost only the switch, I paid U$0.50 for two of those switches. The worst part is to open the laser without breaking it. I suggest that you keep using your laser until it breaks, it will already worth the money.

Just got a Green 303, advice?

The guys are correct. I think is best for you try to burn black electrical tape, if your laser is OK, you should get some smoke from it. Those lasers can have big power fluctuations and suffer from mode hoping when temperature changes, that's common for DPSS lasers, but more common on cheap...

Powerful 532nm At an Affordable Price!

That's the average for the price, and is what a Chinese laser usually do. I can get the 303 ones for U$8,00, but since you got a charger+battery, you did a good deal! Try to paint the match with a black ink (I do with a whiteboard marker, but even a pencil will work), do this with the balloon...

    Those cheap chinese 301 lasers

I had one of those 301/303 too and is really powerful, but isn't just the 301/303's, the OX-G40 I bought for $16 have the same power, and I think most of the Chinese lasers, including the pen style ones, are of the same power. What gets the attention are certainly, the 'light a match'...

Max current for a open can diode from LG H55N

That's what ~250mW looks like, red is not a very visible color, but don't be tricked, still 250mW. :yh:

    Question regarding salvaged diodes

IR likes dark things, it will be easy reflected by most colors and white.

please, should i choice lm317 or acm7135 for driver laser

The AMC7135 is a fixed current regulator, at 350mA, it is more efficient but you will not reach 1W with this driver. So, I recommend the LM317 that regulates up to 1,5A. Both will perform the same and there's no change in diode's lifetime. The current consumed by the resistor will be very...

please, should i choice lm317 or acm7135 for driver laser

The capacitor will only drain current when the driver is starting, helping to smooth the voltage spike that the driver does when starting, and will not have an effect during the actual working of the driver. I also recommend adding a 470R resistor in parallel to the capacitor, it will discharge...

Max current for a open can diode from LG H55N

Hello! I worked with many DVD-RW drives and the H55N is my favourite to get LD's. I have 98% sure that is a LPC-815 diode. I always ran it at 415mA and never burnt a diode at this current. But I found two variations of the housing from this drive. Maybe one was the cited LPC-826 and one the...

    Cheap 5000mw 532nm laser!
