If you have the means to measure the RF power being delivered, the pulse you refer to, that's where I'd start. But the gear involved, and the possible requirement for override access to your machine (in order to command the pulse be sent without the laser running) may be in your way. How well...

Sounds a lot like your Q-switch....isn't switching. The conversion process needs high peak power. The Q-switch is what provides the very high peak power pulses the conversion crystal needs to be efficient.

Hmm...an indigo laser. i bet it would be fun asking people to tell you what color it is. Probably get a pretty wide range of answers. I see 445 as cobalt blue but many of my friends see it as violet.
