I purchased this Wicked Laser Core for $20 it was not working so i pressed the batteries in and it started to work and stop so i made a decision to take it apart without causing any damage to the host i replaced the switch the spring and set the laser to 25mW from 5mW max was around 100mW but...

That is a nice design And maybe on/off switch in the back or on top next to the heatsink

I never push diodes i always set it what the manufacturer specs are example if a diode is 1A! max 1.8A i set it at 950mA :alien:

If you like i can fix it for you i can replace it using a brand new diode

I remember testing the diode 300mW & <350mW Max <350mA i try pushing it to 400mW+ and the just dim

The LPC826 diode is <200mW is not going to burn anything that quick, very simple to focus post a pic of the laser, fix focus is when you fix the focus in a host and never adjust it again example a pen host.

You can place a small piece of 2/4 wood and focus it, Lasers always need to be focused in & out unless you are doing a fix focus you can do it outside and get a perfect dot in far distance

Yes i was thinking of installing 440nm so i have a nice power, The 650nm was nice just takes to long to pop a balloon i was waiting for 1min to pop it and at the end it just made a small hole and air started to leak out, 👀
