Bought an 808nm, advertised as a burner. Way cool, but I like it for my night vision camera's best. It lights up like it's noon!!

Maybe try cooling some 405nm laser diodes with pelters to get it to drift closer to 400nm. Idk if it would work, but sounds better than some leds. I dont think the leds will output enough to actually cause it to lase. You need some massive dumps to get that rod to lase.

You totally need a fog machine. I had to get one when i really got into this hobby, not to long ago. Make my own juice for it. Love watching the fog dance through a dozen beams across my ceiling. I run my 44 @ 2.5 to 3, active cooling, with pelter if i so wish to stabilize the wave. I can run it way , way higher with temps staying reasonable. I like it though, and don't want to kill it.
