    Why so quiet?

I missed that one, what restrictions were imposed in the USA? TBH I didn't expect that one. Was there any major incidents that brought this about?

Looking for some input on the NDG7475 Diode

Any idea what current would be a safe upper limit? I had not seen much info on these ones being sensitive. Were you using a led driver or something more suited to LDs?

Looking for some input on the NDG7475 Diode

I wasn't sure if I had missed any discoveries with this diode. Pretty much all the comments and threads in the search are from around the year I bought them. I have "2A" written on the baggie it was stored in, so i guess I'll keep it in that zone. Thanks for the replies, Gents.

Looking for some input on the NDG7475 Diode

Afternoon, Gents. Have this NDG 1W diode sitting in my drawer that I never got around to using. I purchased the .7W and the 1W version from dtr a few years back and was always a bit nervous on a build considering I paid around $200 USD for it . I'm thinking of running it at 2.5A and am looking...

    Why so quiet?

I can't be the only one who noticed, but what happened to forums in general? LPF, PL, and even other forums I've frequented intermittently over the past decade or so have just gone quiet. I'm curious as to where all the traffic and engagement went on LPF?

Nichia NUGM31 519nm-520nm-525nm-531nm 25W+ Green Laser Diode Array

Projector carcases are a treasure trove of optics. I've got a monster prism pair from one and figured out some interesting configurations for these arrays.

PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Depends on the module. 10-30mw greenies typically use a 200-300mW 808. Probably best to check the stock current draw and slowly increase whilst monitoring the optical output. More current to the pump doesn't always equal more green, especially when you start shifting away from 808 in the upper...

    Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

Man this forum has got tumbleweeds these days.. So after some reading, I've come up with the following for those interested. First we calculate the electrical power input to the laser diode array: Pinput=V×IP= V \times IPinput=V×IPinput=16.5 V×3.5 A=57.75 WP= 16.5 \\times 3.5 = 57.75...

    Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

What type of power rating would a tec have to be to keep the 13t running at 4 amps in a temperature range of 25-30c? That is a neat little array 🥰

    NUBM-47

Wait, what!!?? Is that a typo? 2001?? That can't be right or I was abducted by aliens and got some time issues to figure out 😳

    Spectrometer Wanted

Found this unit, not really liking the resolution although the scale shows ~3000nm This look like a good buy? https://www.ebay.ca/itm/144267758160?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=kWP1hKGQRIe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=KY7jBPWCSpm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    Spectrometer Wanted

I'd love one but the prices are way too high. Wish I would have grabbed one when they were selling for $400 😖

If I remember correctly, with the blue diodes the chip is not bonded with indium as seen in NIR 808's for example. I read a discussion here on the forum some time ago where it was mentioned that the chip is fused with silver using a high energy pulse from a laser to mount them. To my...

    Spectrometer Wanted

So far it's on the top of my list. Everything I've looked at like ocean optics etc start at 1,000. which is way out of my budget range. One other thing I forgot to ask, is there a data logging option via USB? I'm not too fond of stand alone only.

    Spectrometer Wanted

How accurate is that spectrometer when it comes to say a tenth of a nm? I bought a 10 lot of the sharp 480nm diodes and need the ability to bin them by wavelength. Is this suitable for such measurements?

    Spectrometer Wanted

I tried the project which the unit in the video is based on. If you make it yourself, it's a 10$ project at most and not to bad. The issue I found with it was the accuracy. I'm looking for a means to sort diodes of the same wavelength, and pick my preferred color to add to my pen collection...

    Spectrometer Wanted

I encountered this very project a few months back. I ended up trying a similar with webcam, diffraction grating, and that same software and still have it on my laptop. I'll put your offer on my list as I nose through a few more options 🍺

Do you have a link to any pics and detail in a thread or the like? I may be interested 🍺

    Spectrometer Wanted

Wondering what type of spectrometer gear you folks are using, and what are some low cost options for a reasonably accurate setup? I've always wanted to get one, but the price was cost prohibitive. Any suggestions on the latest diy's or inexpensive production models with a USB interface would...

    Found Cyan Laser diodes !

Am I reading that right where the 47 will emit 460nm when driven just over 7A with an output of 500mW at the base of the graph? That is one stubborn diode! 😳
