    I really dont understand drivers..

This thread might help some: http://laserpointerforums.com/f67/driver-compilation-thread-all-drivers-just-one-thread-52799.html Wikipedia and google are very good sources. Just search boost driver, buck driver, and linear driver.

    SOme questions

Have you seen DTR's tutorials? If not, check the link in my sig. The other links in my sig are also very helpful. Jayrob's has lots of pics too.

Which is brightest: an AAA battery laser or a 18650 one?

Wdc. All I'm saying is your playing bad odds. You can pay $37 and have a 100% chance of it being just as bright as your friends or pay $15 and have 20% chance. You could buy 3 lasers from DX, spending $45, and never get a good one. Its your money. When its my money I play the odds that...

Which is brightest: an AAA battery laser or a 18650 one?

Very, very true. OK, good luck! Your're gonna need it. Why would you spend $32.71 and take a big gamble that it will even hit 50mW (and probably have tons of IR) instead of getting a guaranteed 50mW unit from lazerer for $37? :banghead:

Review of the Reke 500RGB Stage Laser Show Projector

Very good review. For $250, this seems like a good deal.

From nothing to Laser - What's needed?

Here are a couple pots: Digi-Key I were me I would use a 47mf/25V because thats what you have on hand and it will work. I'm not electronics expert but there are several on the forum, maybe they can chime in and give you a more definitive answer. Try PMing eudaimonium about the caps and...

    Laser Torch 1W 445

Your best bet might be eudaimonium he is from Croatia, I think. Also, pontiacg5. There are some others but they are newer members and I can't remember their names right now. I think RayJNeal too.

    Who covers lost package?

If the buyer agrees to the "conditions" Helios described, couldn't the seller have the buyer send PP as personal payment so it can't be disputed. I know this is against the rules but... Just thinking out loud.

    Recommendation for a noob?

My advice is to stay away from IR. You can't see the beam, and barely the dot unless you view it through a video camera or webcam. They are too dangerous for a noob IMO

    Recommendation for a noob?

For burning, the 405nm (blu-ray) will give you more burning power per mW than 532nm or 660nm. I'm just not sure you can get one for under $50. Even if you decide to go with red (660nm), try to get one that can focus, it also makes a difference.

FS: 2 MXDL 3405 "Big Chunk" Heatsinks $10 shipped each $18 shipped for both

Re: FS: 2 MXDL 3405 Heatsinks and 2 Hene Tubes Somebody should jump on those MXDL's too. It's a great price for the host you get. Large heatsinks with a few different battery options (18650 with tail-cap mod, 2XRCR2s, or 2X16340s).

Blue laser diodes for sale from new projector 3500 luminems projector

Chances are these are the same diodes we can, and have been getting, for $40 to $55. They just use more of them to get the 3500 luminems. So if that's the case it's going to be hard for you to sell them for $75 each. We don't know that they are the same ones for sure but there is only one...

    Motors for a Spirograph

If it helps, here is a link to the spiro I built with some videos. I'll try and take another video of just a motor running at the lowest RPM too. http://laserpointerforums.com/f42/four-motor-spirograph-63752.html EDIT: Here is a short clip of 1 motor running, lowest RPM, then 2 motors...

From nothing to Laser - What's needed?

Here is a link to the diode presses Flaminpyro sells, it's the same I have. Works great!! http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/diode-press-sale-15-00-a-42590.html I'll let BB suggest a DMM. I actually picked up a nice one on clearance but you don't really need it to go over 200mA for what we do...

    Motors for a Spirograph

Not sure, but it can't be very much. I would have done more tests for you but unfortunately I have to be out of this place by Friday so I did that one test and then packed everything up. In my setup I'm using 25 Ohm Rheostat pots and it won't bring the motor to a complete stop but pretty darn...

    Attention retards

Props to you Jake for getting that moron arrested. Most people wouldn't take the time to call the cops. I hope the word of that A$$hole getting arrested gets around, maybe others will thing twice about doing what he did.
