A bit late for me to reply to this, but why not... Yes, you can simply put a resistor across the capacitor leads. I would say 100k ohms or so would do fine for a decently fast discharge while not interrupting output current

Pretty much anything thats rare and expensive such as: 473nm, 543nm, 589nm, ect. Even high power IR lasers like 980nm. Its not really my fav, but I really like the 445 and 405nm since I like blue/ violet colors the best.

On my 445nm, I switched to a rayfoss 445nm lens for my 1W, the beam is just as wide, but it is a lot thinner and smaller even though just as wide as the g1. I am saving the g-1 for a 12x build I may possibly build soon.

I am waiting on some heatsinks to come so I can finish the build, I ran it for 2 hours straight at about 30ma, seems okay I guess. If it dies, Ill get a new one. Until then, I am pleased to find this thing still working and not even LED. Sorry to hear about all of your troubles damaging...
