Strangly enough that's one of the spot on power wise eBay lasers I have ,The JD 850 mine had <30 mW sticker on it and measured 32 mW close enough.Of course they will vary but 200mW as tmack said no way .

I wouldn't be to worried most of the 301 laser series the greens are around 50 mW .I have quite a few and the IR measured using a LPM and pointing the laser through a pair of red safety goggles onto the thermopile measures around 10 mW on that power ,you can get lucky and get higher powered...

The 532nm green assuming it is actually 200mW real power .By Using the calculator of perceived brightness for the beam it says the green will be 2.39 x brighter than a 1.2 watt blue .

Great shots considering it looks late afternoon and shows 5:39pm on the date stamp on the pictures .I wouldn't have thought you would have seen that much beam with the ambient light as it appears .Was there a slight fog ? Or a little smoke around ? Regardless sweet shots .

Re: 501B and other lasers for sale yeah it's quite a beast seems to burn nearly as well as my 1.4 watt blue LPM with less worry about getting the focus just perfect .Even close to spot focus ignites white paper quite quick .recommend others buy his modules just save me a couple 520nm being one...

Usually a spring soldered on to the back of the driver board center ,that obviously goes to the battery / batteries .

Far better idea to get the safety glasses first because you will use the laser when you get it ,even if only for a short time .A short time is all you need to cause damage .

You may as well give it a try .I need to find out where to get them from .I have few lasers with them on .But would like to get some more as on the plainer looking hosts they would make more of a dramatic difference ( at least for a short time in the dark ).

You can get GITD rings that work ok ,not as good the epoxy mixture but they would go in a lot closer and you would still see the detail of the fins ? Idea my 2 cents worth. If you don't like them you can use on another laser as I'm sure there will be another one !.
