Anyone else having issues with this arcadehall popups?

I am surprised no one mentioned this sooner, I hate that thing that pops up at the bottom on every page and I have to close it, other than that it works ok in Safari on an iPad. Look at what came up at the top of a page, funny as hell: :crackup::crackup: Alan

    Just Curious

You can also send c0ldshadow a donation and ask him to change it to whatever you want, this is why some people have something different under their name that no one else has. The forum could probably use some more donations. Alan

What music does LPF listen to?

You can include classical music here, post a video or a link. This one isn't classical but it is a modern tribute to a great man. "Rock Me Amadeus" is a 1985 song by Austrian musician Falco. Alan

He may be referring to this video, it was taken over 17 days as Juno was approaching Jupiter and sped up, these are the moons that Galileo saw and discovered they were orbiting Jupiter. Alan

Everything went as planned and they will turn the instruments back on sometime tomorrow (July 6th) and begin the science mission, it has quite a few instruments on board. I don't know about the pictures, I hope they give us some even if it's from a long distance. I watched the live coverage...

    My new blue 5w laser

A 5W laser will cost you about double that or more, I am guessing that laser has a M140 diode or maybe a a PLTB450B, this would put its max power at about 2W. Still though it does look like a good laser and at a fair price. Alan

Juno has successfully maneuvered into position for the 35 minute burn that will be in less than 30 minutes, I will provide an update for those out celebrating the holiday and can't watch. The instruments and camera were turned off 5 days ago to protect them so there will be no photos tonight...

Looking for someone to build me a custom 800+ 405nm laser pointer

It's probably confusing to many since we have members from about 50 countries. Just be sure never to date a check that way to someone in the U.S. Or someone will be very angry with you. Sometimes foreigners move to the U.S. And get a bank account and cause problems by dating their checks that...

Here is the official site: https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/juno/main/index.html At about 11:15 ET it will begin a 35 minute...

    Broken 405nm. What to do

It's a common thing with lasers that cheap, although it happens more with 532nm green than with other lasers. My advice is don't buy cheap lasers. Alan

Carrying a laser - my experience

What an unusual thing to happen, we must always be extra careful with lasers. Thanks for posting the video, good job figuring out what happened. Alan

What are the best science fiction movies?

I don't think anyone mentioned this one yet, "Battle beyond the stars" (1980). I fist saw it in 1980 when it was first released, here is an excellent detailed description of the movie: Battle Beyond the Stars B-Movie Review It stared Richard Thomas, Robert Vaughn, John Saxon, George Peppard, and...

Re: Lot of requests for machining lately... :gj: Gadget, I have no doubt you can do this. Maybe you could make one standard host that's not too difficult to make that you can sell all the time, then also do custom one of a kind hosts. Alan
