    Did some boost drivers :)

I'm going to ask a couple of probably stupid questions. Are you planning to sell these eventually? If so, how much for? And if not, can we have the schematic?

    hey santa

If you're going to be good all of next year, what's the point in having the list of naughty girls? :na:

    2x Lazerer Riffle445 1W (29% overspec)

The way it was explained to me is, the driver can't make more amps. If the battery is not supplying enough, either the driver will have a point where if it's receiving fewer amps than it'll cut out or it'll keep supplying the laser with what it has until the batteries can't supply it with enough...

LOL @ the tag "use a glove". Hahaha!!

    Pot modding FAQ's

It worked pretty well. I didn't ever end up managing to burn anything though. How about adding an eighth of (a) pot? That'll certainly make it seem brighter.

    Cat sliding tutorial

That's a brilliant idea! I'm definitely doing it with my 3-year-old nephew and 1-year-old neice right after I do it with Midori! Then maybe I'll get fed up of sliding and go back to confusing by clicking fingers. Actually, that's another fun game. You wait 'til your cat is looking the wrong...

HOLIDAY Beamshot Competition Rules/Entries Thread! **ENTRIES CLOSED**

Re: HOLIDAY Beamshot Competition Rules/Entries Thread! This is a very nice idea. But why suggest it to us instead of going right ahead and doing it yourself? :p

    Pot modding FAQ's

Well, you need to make that very explicitly clear before posting the tutorial. I've played with IR once and I had a big DIY radiation shield made of cardboard with a small window with my mobile phone celotaped to it so I could see the dot on the screen using the camera. The other issue is...

    Cat sliding tutorial

Somewhere I have a picture of Sigmund holding some of my lasers wearing my safety glasses. I think it's on Chez's computer though.

    Cat sliding tutorial

Our kitten playing with her wrecking ball (or "mouse" as it is sometimes known). She since broke the string repeatedly in response to us tying it back up to the point where there was not enough string to tie it back together, ate the bell, ripped out the tail and is in the process of pulling the...

    Pot modding FAQ's

It's not safe, by any means. You'll just wreck your eyes instead of your laser.

    2x Lazerer Riffle445 1W (29% overspec)

Personally, I have no intention of buying from Dragon Lasers - at least not for a long time. They charge way too much for their low-power lasers and I don't approve of their marketting techniques. They're one of the companies which, like Wicked, seem to advertise their lasers as being better...

    2x Lazerer Riffle445 1W (29% overspec)

Unless you reduce the advertised power. But not many companies do that :p Pretty much all DL units seem to be overspec.

I don't reccomend the hot tub, you're likely to get it all smeary and possibly overheat something. But I sometimes think it's cool to take mine into the shower or bath and I've once or twice used them in an outdoor swimming pool at night.

    470nm diode

I was speaking to a Chinese international student who's studying Business and Management, and he said the major difference between big corporations in China and, he said England but I assume it to be the same in the US and most other places, is that generally in China the customer proposes the...

Burning Crystal (photos) + high res wallpaper pics ٩(๏̯͡๏)۶

Re: Burning Crystal (photos) The best picture thread I have ever seen. +1 without question. I would try this, but I'd be unable to reproduce anything even fractionally awesome so it would ruin the magic for me.

    Rayfoss RF405-150mW - Noob Review :)

Yeah, some people's opinions may differ, but I'd say you're probably fine with them. Just try to make sure you can always only see the dot through the lenses and not around the edges of the lenses, particularly when burning stuff. Outdoors you needn't worry quite as much, but then there are...

    Greetings from Malaysia too

Hey! Welcome aboard! You sound like you have some experience, so I'll assume you don't need me to remind you about safety. Feel free to post some pictures of your work - always good to see other people's DIY builds. Have fun, stay safe and enjoy your stay.

    Rayfoss RF405-150mW - Noob Review :)

Nice review. I'll help answer a few questions regarding goggles. Goggles serve several purposes. The first and foremost is to protect your eyes from the cumulative effect of long-term exposure to the focussed laser dot. Second, to protect you in the fairly unlikely event that a beam will...
