No that's OK I've been pretty busy with the leaving one job and starting another and I've been busy spending a lot of free time with the kids outside so havent been on the forum As much as usually. As for the red pen I might have one for sale soon. Ive also got the 80mw 450nm.

What do you mean by that? Most linears don't do 2.2A and if they did they aren't very efficient at all compared to the driver Ben is designing.

wow this tread has come a lot further that I thought it would in just a couple of days!! i'm liking this open source driver, and cant wait to see the fully tested and tuned version! and by adding a pot that just makes it that much better! +1 to you benmwv

well i'd be very interested! lets so how the testing goes and we can go from there. also with the hot air station I think about everything should be pretty easy! are the components pretty inexpensive? Also if you need any help I can do my best to help you along.

These are great! So are you going to run a small batch? If these work I might have to buy about a dozen pre-made or assemble them myself. I could grab a bunch of different resistors so i could do different currents.
