I've found that battery life and overall performance can be increased with these units by using 1 rechargeable 10440 cell and a conductive spacer. You might also save some $$$ and trips to buy batteries. Definitely caused a major increase in power stability and battery life for my E3. -Matt

I have a 3.8mm single mode 445 that has been sitting on my desk for ages. O-like accidentally sent me the diode instead of the laser. I ended up paying $64.00 for the damn thing but I'm sure we could work something out if you want it.

That's a shame, $250 for the kit is a fair price though, considering the high quality eyewear.

If you have $180 to spend on a laser you might as well spend an extra $29 and pick this one up, pretty much the most beam for you buck in my opinion, love mine.

Well I was trying to get the complete unit at $58.00 plus shipping for the GB price, so I agreed to pay $64.00 shipped for a review unit. I now have the bare diode which O-like retails for $79.99 by itself. I think if I just decide to keep the diode I wouldn't be that bad off. It is a weird size...

UPDATE: 12/03/2011 Picked up the package today, the pictures speak for themselves. I will probably just end up keeping this to experiment with. I wouldn't feel OK spending other peoples money with a company in which the buyer-seller communication is so poor, just too many things could go wrong...

How much for just the laser and batteries? (if you would do that)

+1, it looks like this is one isn't IR filtered from the photo with the safety goggles. That's not green light on the wall, seems like the camera picked up the IR though...anyway nice review.
