    Deconstructing a Rear Projector Tv

Score! There are tons of goodies inside of RPTV's. Among them are the projection lenses, the fresnel lens, the giant front surface mirror (I can't tell you how many times I've scared myself looking into the mirror not realizing that it was a mirror), various electronic components, and even some...

    FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointers.

Uh, let's go with 3? Honestly I don't really care if I get a low or high power. And like you said, it doesn't really matter since there are many more factors than just power with these lasers. But I guess this removes all bias with who gets which laser.

    All sold!

Re: 520 <5mW PGL for sale + $35 LPM LPM is sold; I purchased it.

    561nm GLP

How warm does it get? What's the duty cycle like? I'm now so excited to get mine

    FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointers.

Re: FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointer, 500mW 532nm labby. But that's for 5mW, right? I'd rather get one of the 100mW ones that were going around a few years ago (especially for a wavelength so dim). Eh, when the time comes I'll make a BST post for it.

    FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointers.

Re: FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointer, 500mW 532nm labby. Thanks for taking the initiative Styro. I know I haven't been around for a while but after seeing the prices on this thread I couldn't pass the opportunity. Now if only CNI sold >5mW lasers to the US... I've had an odd craving for 671nm. It...

    FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointers.

    Re: FEELER CNI 561nm 5mW pointer, 500mW 532nm labby. I can't take this anymore. I'm in for 561. :tinfoil:

[The Blood Club] 1.1W Oclaro Weapon (HL63193MG)

This is definitely one of the best looking lasers I've seen in a while! Excellent work!

My new toy: Yellow HeNe 594nm

Very, very nice pictures you have there! Welcome to the 594nm HeNe club :) Best, Grant

    Low-dropout driver for reds

Greetings, I want to build a red laser using a single Li-Ion (4.2V) battery. A LM317-style driver would work great if the dropout voltage wasn't so high. I'd like for the current to be adjustable from 0-150mA. I'm using an Opnext 638nm diode which has a Vf of 2.6V at 150ma. So the dropout...

    8 line TUNABLE argon

This is really awesome! I'm jealous. Can you take some pictures of the laser and all of its lines, for a side by side comparison?

    594/604/612/633 RAMAN maybe?

Re: An invitation to an exclusive club (594/604/612) [PICS] Ahhh, welcome to the club! It's a bit lonely over here but sure is gorgeous. I don't think I've tried shining my 612nm through a diffraction grating; I'll have to do that sometime!

Got a Gas laser, Not sure how to power it.

The potentiometer on the white power supply is used to tune the amount of voltage passing through the HeNe tube. Most likely it's been tuned already for that specific HeNe tube. I really wouldn't touch it unless 18V does not power up the tube.

Review: Three LaserBTB "SKYLasers" PIC HEAVY

Great post! Glad the GB was a success. That 520 looks gorgeous; do you think it was worth it?

    RGB hand-held laser

Absolutely gorgeous. It's the quintessential laser pointer!

How can I convince my parents to let me get a burning laser?

Hey jkguest! First of all, welcome to the forum. Well, a bit late on my part, but better late than never! Before I start spewing advice left and right, I should probably say a few things about myself. I was first interested in lasers right about at the age of 12, when I got my first little red...

    HeNe Rainbow

Thanks everyone for replying! @cheech226: Of course! Just curious, whatever happened to your 612nm HeNe? Do you still have it? @Roam: I didn't even know that standalone 604nm lasers existed! Is there any evidence of these? The ghosts around the dot tend to be pretty arbitrary; they're...

    HeNe Rainbow

Thanks for the comments everyone! The lasers are indeed beautiful; it was only obligatory to take pictures and share them with you guys :) Here's some more information about the HeNe lasers: 632nm: 15mW Melles Griot. Dot has small rings around it but is otherwise very clean. Bought it used on...

    HeNe Rainbow

No prisms, but I do have tons of mirrors, diffraction gratings, and the such. Only problem is that I'm separated from these beauties until March (no room for them at college, sob).

    Backpack Portable CO2 Build

Are you sure capacitors are the way to go? I feel like lead-acid batteries might work better (especially since their voltage doesn't drop with their charge).
