Why is the FDA associated with lasers, and laser safety? I though FDA is the FOOD and DRUG association. Lasers are neither food or drugs lol. Sorry if it's a stupid question, but when I told my friends about the FDA regulations on lasers they looked at me as if I was stupid.

I was looking at Yourlasers.com red 200mw laser for 41$. Are their lasers On spec?

I would choose DL over WL any day. Sure DL has some bad cases. but the Majority of custormers are generally happy with their product. As am I. I already have a 75mW Viper from them, i've had it for a year and it's still as good as new. My spartan 1w is in the mail. (I hope I get it today!!!)

Yes and to add on to what hoo7h said, If you are simply interested in burning go with a high powered 1-2watt 445nm laser. You could purchase one of these from a reputable member of this forum on the buy/sell/trade section of the forum for a great price. Or you could purchase one from reputable...

You are comparing a 200mW to a 500mW. A 200mW violet laser vs a 200mW green laser would result in the violet being very minimally better in burning. But a 200mw violet vs a 500mW green would result in the 500mw green burning way better than a violet at 200mw would. If you are looking to spend...

Wavelength has little to do with power. mW is what you want to look at for burning power. Be sure to purchase safety goggles as high powered lasers are dangerous. Also I'm curious to see which site you are purchasing from. I could possibly give you more advice on the subject.

Oh and what is your price range, because you can't find a 500mW green for cheap.

If they are both up to spec lasers, the 500mW 532nm green will burn. That's a 300mW difference in power output.

For me about 25+ times. Flying is alright, I've never gone 1st class. So I always get stuck with pretzels or stale nuts. I want to chop off my own ears sometimes aswell due to the pressure. I also hate turbulence lol.

Wow this thing is officially my new dream laser.2W in a beautiful host. It looks like the Heatsink for it is blue because of the reflection. Looks super cool. Thumbs up to the builder.

Those are so inexpensive, 5 for $40 is amazing. Do they output atleast 100-150mW?
