    Returning Banned Members

They should not be allowed back when they're banned for a good reason. I'm new here so I don't know any real cases, but heard that somebody had been banned for posting P0*n... He has shown big disrespect to the forum and the members.

    Let's talk about Mars.

Sad, but true. Some explorers have said that Mars actually looks like the future of the Earth. The humans are cutting the branch on which they are sitting. One of the biggest problems that the politicians don't talk about is the unstoppable population growth. It's obvious that the Earth...

    Let's talk about Mars.

Cyrillic letters do not have anything related to Mars - they were designed @ end of 9th century by order of one of our greatest emperors - Simeon I aka Simeon The Great. His ruling is called the Golden Age by the historians (but probably a disaster for some neighbor empires). Our previous...

    Let's talk about Mars.

It looks like A**n has been invited :-) Alaskan, have you been in the army ? I hope you find my jokes amusing. Btw in Bulgarian, europe is called/spelled 'evropa' also. @Benm Hahahahh  The aliens not only have cloaking devices. I think that we may want to take the risk & try...

Helios - Open source, low cost DAC

I'd like to see a video of this in action. Have you used it or the sole purpose is to sell it ?

Can a TMP36 as a LPM Meter Sensor?

After clarifying most aspects, I changed my mind - I thought that I'll participate but felt like not building it, but now got interested to kick some tires. I realized that I have most of the necessary components (designated for other projects): - The "blue pill" board and an unknown "20 mW"...

    10 ML101U29-25 for $25!

I see some clarification is necessary: "LPC826" is being sold as "CW 300mW" diode on ebay and I have not seen any official datasheet for it, but we have the graph above (thanks for it). On the other hand, ML101U29-25 has this preliminary pdf, where it's CW power is said to be 150 mW. The...

    10 ML101U29-25 for $25!

It'd be nice to have a graph "Current vs Optical output" here. The available datasheet is preliminary. It might have changed. It'd be interesting to compare these to the LPC 826 diodes.

Can a TMP36 as a LPM Meter Sensor?

AFAIK anything built with GaN crystal inside is not so sensitive to the temperature. One 5.6mm SLD3237 for example.. But they're max 200 mW CW w/o overcurrent... Unlike the 700mW HL63193MG, the inexpensive solution - LPC826 can serve as reference to max 270 mW. The current must be recorded not...

Techhood, anyone have experienced with them?

Something like that. They've got some copper hosts which suspiciously resemble the well known Aixiz ones. They sell them 3 pcs for $9 (with acrylic lens). I didn't try 'em though. Edit@05.12.2016: Today arrived my orders. Among everything, there were 2 diodes SLD3237VF which are different. I'll...

    Let's talk about Mars.

Yes and it is far from Mars despite what most people may think. I do not look like Marsian either (unless they're caucasian type) :D. I'm sure that though Benm is from Netherlands, he is also far from Mars :-). Infact, we're from Europe. But this could cause confusion  that we're near...

New here; Confused; Looking to buy 3x green lasers... help?

You said green. The 532nm ones are pure green, but they rely on DPSS tech. They're pumped by a high power invisible IR LASER inside. AFAIK, if you want direct green, they're usually 520..522nm (this is not pure, but aquamarine green). Here are some pix: Skylaser - 520nm by Blord

Can a TMP36 as a LPM Meter Sensor?

No, with incandescent bulb you'll get very high inaccuracy. Why ? Because it's an omnidirectional source. It shoots energy in all directions and in the whole spectrum - from far infrared (simply heat) to 450nm blue. You will hardly collect more than 30% of the total energy lost in the bulb...

Best lens setup for smallest most perfect focus dot possible at around 300mm distance

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that he talks about the most suitable lens for focusing of 405 nm single mode LASER diode at ~30 cm distance in the smallest possible spot in an industrial host, not in a Jedi - style torch. I think he doesn't want to invent new lens or custom-order them for...

    Let's talk about Mars.

Actually, after 5 bilion years, when the Sun explodes as a Red Giant, the closest place where the creatures (who did not blew up the Earth in a thermo-nuclear war until then) might survive is probably Mars or some of the moons of Jupiter.

    LPF Voluntary Vetting

"The seller has specified that this item cannot be shipped to addresses in ****" You have wasted me 20 minutes ! Btw it shows you outside Iraq ;-) O.K. I realize it was for a noble cause. There are other ways. For example, if sbd. claims sth., he should be able to provide reasonable arguments...

    LPF Voluntary Vetting

The method is funny, but with me there was an error. I recommend the members to try it (but when it gets fixed).Either your method didn't work for me or you already have my location... ? Today I must go to sleep now, so .. PM if you fix it.

Can a TMP36 as a LPM Meter Sensor?

I could speak on it more, but to return on the topic, have you thought about a cheap, suitable pipe to mount the sensor in ? Yesterday, I came up with the idea that perhaps a tin can of peanuts could do the job :-). It would look funny, but it has a flat bottom, which can easily be drilled through.

    LPF Voluntary Vetting

You don't want to post your method in public, because it won't work if these "socks" understand it. But if you try it on them, they for sure will get it and the next time they'll be immune. Do you agree ? So the method is kind of not so reliable. Now follows a half-joke: How can we be sure that...

Where did you find me to seek revenge from sbd ?! What kind of revenge ? I think that we have...

Where did you find me to seek revenge from sbd ?! What kind of revenge ? I think that we have talked on your thread about the hnk S06J LASER diode, but I don't remember to have insulted sbd. I'm investigating what are these diodes. Also, I need NFO on the Chinese lens sold on ebay - which one is...
