I wish people were! I blame tiktok.
Alot of trolls bombarded this forum and the owner stopped having Moderaters to control them..
It started going down before this though but the trolling never let this place recover.
No more host and heatsink builders also.
I also think new members want the cheaply made Chinese made units because they might look cool. The buyers usually come back with having issues with the cheap China made ones and cry for help.
The China made ones have awful heatsinking, just a hollow small piece of brass and brass is not a good heat to begin with and cheap unstabble drivers. They most likely have diodes that have alot of run time on them..
The best heat sinks are copper and aluminum or both combined. A great driver is a SXD with a slow start
Its a shame because there are so many more new WL's for cheap.
New comers like you might lurk or join and see this forum is in somewhat of a caos but you are needed to bring this place back.
Just avoid the trolls and don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how stupid you might think it is
Go back and read old post and you will like it.
Green diodes use tto be so expensive but now they are priced very nice..

Are there really no more moderators on LPF ?

No, no announcements, it hasn't been seen in a long time, but LPF has become like this for a year now or a little less, it eliminated the mods, they are no longer needed... it's a shame it's going this way! The PMs now work again, but I think you've lost the old ones forever.
