Thanks dave. The point of the project is to use something besides a knife so...
I thought Lasers, of course. I know it probably isn't practical, but practical things are boring.
I'm doing a school project and I'd like to know the ideal wattage and color you'd use if you were to use a laser to peel a potato. Ideally, it would burn the skin off but not do that much damage to the meat.
Also, would this be practical considering the amount of power it would take?
Thanks for...
Someone explain it please.....
Does more OD=Protection against more Watts? If so, what is the ratio? (Realtionship between OD and number of watts it protects against)
Is higher OD super important?
Gun, I subscribed. My channel name is "Build Something Dangerous"
I haven't uploaded any laser videos yet.
I could film some if you want me to. I have my 200mw green laser, I could do some stuff.
Also, could we just email/dropbox/mediafire a download for the video file?

Thanks for your opinions guys, and stories about idiot "adults." :thanks:
I'll...
How old do you think someone should be to handle/operate/view high power lasers? (Like 200mw-2w)
A lot of kids wouldn't be responsible enough to wear safety glasses I think, but some could be.
I am asking because of my ten year old brother.
Thanks, lasersbee. I know how bad wicked lasers is. Thanks for showing the six ways to not get scammed, I read that through. I'm getting some high quality goggles in the near future.
Hey! Someone told me I should introduce myself in the welcome section....
I currently have one 200mw green laser, and I plan to get more once I get some good goggles, and money :P
I am very interested in DIY lasers, especially unique ones (like diodes put in guns and stuff like that). If...
