So the + of the battery goes to the LD+ and then goes to the + side of the diode. Then the current is regulated through the - side

See image, this is the driver I have but the wiring on the picture does not make sense. The - of the battery goes to the spring and the diode is wired to the other end of the driver but where do I wire the + post of the other end of the battery. Also what voltage can I use for a 12X BDR-S06J...

Im having a little trouble finding a ready made driver for the BDR-S06J Laser some say it can go as high as 700mw I can only find drivers for a 405nm 250mw Can anyone point me in the right direction Thanks

I have my parts on order and have a few questions now while I wait 1) will the laser burn as strong 20 feet away as it will 2 inches away from laser 2) I read that a plastic lens will melt when using 405 at about 500mw because of the heat. There are alot of glass lenses out there from $8 on up...

If Im using a 405 laser to burn white paper would glass between the laser and paper have any affect on the results. Also would the laser have the same affect 8 inches away as well as 50 feet away Thanks

Thanks Guys What kind of power (mw) can you get out of a blue ray burner. There are a few 405nm at 600mw on ebay. I didn't know you could get that strong of a laser from a burner. If thats correct then what keeps the laser from burning through the disk
