I meant to add more in my comment at yr rep page- I was saying that many members live in Cal. and there ar several LEMs held every year one IIRC in LA- great place to network- meet pro lasershow people and see super shows upclose and in a private setting- youtube has lots os LEM vids.
The advice given on Blu ray laser may be better than you thought- my 500mW is a super burner and has the ability to make the smallest dot I have ever seen--It -scars the front of my LPMs instantly- you would need another pair of glasses but that should not be something holding you back.
