Kryton Beast Design Poll (Be a part of it's design

Re: Kryton Beast Design Poll (Be a part of it's de I think the biggest downside of dual would be finding buyers. Most people would not feel safe trying to make batteries run parallel in an obviously series style barrel. Then it would require extra space for wiring and secure grounding to...

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov Hey Ken, I don't think we ever discussed a color. I like the black though. Might even to get together a few bucks for you in the holiday spirit. Looks great that things are all coming together. Lucky dogs who already have them! ;)

big time experiment :) MXDL 12V mod ~120mA Blu Ray

Re: big time experiment :) MXDL 12V mod ~120mA Blu Gus, is it bad that we can guess how old a picture is based on how destroyed the lens in your camera is? ::)

    my new used HeNe laser

I got my HeNe tube for $25.50 after shipping from eBay. So I would take their advice and keep the power supply and try and get a new tube. Keep in mind, it was free for a reason. ;D

Best way to mod a Surefure E2E

If you're looking for a strong green laser you're in trouble without spending a whole ton on a separate module. I know DX has had some but nothing in the multi-100mW range. I believe they had a 70mW unit but it was in a large heat sink. Cheapest alternative would probably be to tear apart a pen...

    DIY Laser Glove

Ah I was thinking about high power again! ::) With the low level modules it should work alright then. I guess I have laser burning fever. ;D

    Galileo, disassembled !

Try out some 1mm copper sheet to wrap around the module. Would give it a firm hold and heat dispersion. ;)

Sorry, I did it again [miniature]

And to think I had built a small driver before. ::)

    DIY Laser Glove

well you could get enough voltage for them with 2 AAs but the run time would be horrible. A good idea would be one CR123 for each module. They have rechargeable's and chargers on DX as well. Those generally give you 3.5-4V when fully charged and have a decent run time. Along with being a smaller...

    HeNe Photo Dump

Well I actually enjoy the output of the tube itself! I want to build some kind of holder for it and make it sort of like a show piece. 8-)
