LPM In a Cube!! Bluetooth is Working!!

How about this idea for mounting? +momentary switches for Trevor's LumenOS being that there are headers for switch functions. So how do I get my LG GPad V500 to pair with the cubic? Says "no near by Bluetooth devices found" Running on KitCat Cyanogen Mod 11

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

Not sure if this will make a difference, but what version of processing are you using? I've been using processing v2.1 Windows x64 If your version is the older recommended beta build that's been removed from the host site upload it & I'le re-test to see if I get better results with rerender...

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

Yeah still choppy with v1.4 rerender false and in v1.5 it obviously produces no gaps so appears slightly neater graphing, though if the line is getting stitched allot I expect its because of the amount of processing power JAVA demands. I have to click connect first in v1.4 or it says: waiting...

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

Ok, I just went through all settings on both versions & took notes, this is what I found.. peregrine 1.4 *********** open app settings/action to perform: increase length/ok/connect/start/renderer is "false" /stop close app open app settings/action to perform: stop/ok/connect/start/renderer is...

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

JAVA's demanding 94% CPU usage just for opening Peregrine & I've seen it up to 100% before I've clicked connect and start buttons. My computer has no problems running big apps like wavelab & sony acid pro, It plays 1080p MKV files fine. All that demands far less on my CPU than JAVA which does...

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

As requested :) I just noticed the screen shot show the peak as 1222.4mW & Average of 970.4mW When the exported image gives the same peak level of 1222.4mW but an Average of 890.2mW?

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

I've just noticed, an exported graph image has the gaps stitched together! Attached images with the CSV ;) Rob.

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

I just had a PM from Wade saying It should be sending around 10 data points per second with some minor fluctuation

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

Thanks Trevor, that explains things :) Atomic, I've only been doing USB data logging so far, so anything Bluetooth is irrelevant at this stage. Thanks for the oversampling tip, I've since tried another laser & I'm getting smoother graphing

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

Actually CPU usage and Ram allocation between the two builds are minimal looking at the de bug charts, so rules out the extra's in v1.4b & my computer processor theory! So what do you think causes the graph line to go choppy? By that I mean the gaps in the graph line in the 1st image to be more...

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

I raised the question as this beta build is graphing with either simple, kemometer, or laserbee selected! I settled for the simple protocol being that Cubic was not an option & obviously don't own the other LPMs. However the graphing remains choppy? Maybe with all the extra's in this build...

Peregrine 1.4 beta - Packed with new features!

Having a play with Atomics build with the zeroing feature... I'm testing on the Cubic Meter via USB Com 9 At the top of Peregrine where is says Meter/Data Stream what should I select n' what does that feature actually do? Cheers.

LPM In a Cube!! Bluetooth is Working!!

The OLEDs header pins to front of sensor, same as the picture in post #62 so the orientation stays the same. And the OLED sit's flat on top of the custom PCB and sensor I'm not concerned about tilt now, as I will still be able to view the screen, & this method makes better storage being cubic.

LPM In a Cube!! Bluetooth is Working!!

PCB for OLED excuse the crappy (not to scale) paint diagram The idea of having surface mount solder points for angled headers to the right of diagram are: 1. prevent shorting out from the Ophir head via the header pins 2. stronger mounting than having pins go straight through the end holes...
