Thanks Podo, I've not been keeping an eye on the forum for a while but when an email popped in regarding your post and the 530nm 1.6watt Sanwus, my ears pricked up!!! I'll take a look back through the thread thanks and I might just order one from you at a later date. Going to have a look at the...

SALE - PRICE REDUCED Sanwu Challenger II 4,000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries & Charger

Hi BobMc, See Laser Rangers Reviews pasted below. I haven't ordered my 470nm 5watt Silver yet, just paying out lots of bills, building works, oil etc...I might have to hang fire for another few weeks until I get paid for the work I'm doing, but sure enough, I'll burn another hole in my pocket...

SALE - PRICE REDUCED Sanwu Challenger II 4,000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries & Charger

The only reviews are on the Sanwu website on the Laser Rangers product page. I looked yesterday and there were three very good write ups. Just surprised that nobody has posted a YouTube review. All the best!

SALE - PRICE REDUCED Sanwu Challenger II 4,000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries & Charger

I’ve not seen a single review on the Laser Rangers product by Sanwu. Someone somewhere must have made the purchase? But nothing, I’ve searched the net and couldn’t find anything at all.

They’re still doing grids and grooves but not the grid style. I like the grid style ... Have a great weekend! :)

I just remembered, you can unscrew the extension tube on the Silver and put in 2 x 18350s and it’s basically a smooth Challenger II!

SALE - PRICE REDUCED Sanwu Challenger II 4,000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries & Charger

A laser of 4 - 5 watts, I think it’s prudent to go for the multimode functions as the safety lock is crucial for safety. Silver Series it is, although I wanted just the grid pattern and Sanwu have discontinued that style, only smooth and challenger II style now. I might have to grovel!!! :)...

Jeep + rough open country + no city lights pollution + laser = fun fun fun! Do you like the multimode version or single mode? I’m tempted to go with Silver for run time and multimode driver so can have safety lock and half power. Hhhmmm. need a beer!

SALE - PRICE REDUCED Sanwu Challenger II 4,000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries & Charger

Thanks BobMc, The 520nm NDG7475 diode is an awesome amount of green! It is pretty good for a high power diode. I have several Sanwu x3 beam expanders. When I put a x3 expander on my 1watt 520nm Challenger II the beam is incredibly tight, am expecting the same with the 470nm. Just trying to work...
