My eBay laser pen was really cool after I shortened it.
So I proceeded to sand the finish and polish the front half of the pen host.
Lesson learned.
NEVER use steel wool on a working laser. Always take it apart first.
I'd be willing to bet that some third party organization ordering and taking apart projectors, making an enormous profit selling them to Chinese manufacturers.
Umm  Nanolaser, what are you talking about? Please clarify.
MojoLA, I agree, I wouldn't expect to see any kind of laser stopping an angry man in his tracks, especially a LINEMAN.
@ nkgamer1990, if you ever ACTUALLY find yourself in this situation, I strongly advise against shining...
laserpillar stalks it's prey in the night
then UNLEASHES his PHOTONIC FURY on the least suspecting!!
This was my first time using GIMP, thanks xStatiCa.
:crackup::crackup::crackup:
It's actually just a big caterpillar :na: called a Hickory Horned Devil.
While it appears to be quite dangerous, (I wouldn't have dared to touch him at first)
he's actually totally harmless.
there's a thread about it here
edit: if only I still had photoshop...
Lots of good pictures there :thanks:
This one shows the details really well, just like seeing it in person :gj:
Really interesting description of the defensive behavior there, too!
This is especially true when, in the process of summarizing the situation, you put as much emphasis as possible on it's unlikelihood. ;)
ADDED: If for whatever reason you decided to open up a can of whoopass on someone, and he whipped out a 445nm laser and quickly put your eyes out with it...
