I was looking for something around 500ma, ended up buying a 1000ma driver so problem solved.

the leads where the diode is meant to be? So whats your opinion on removing/replacing the pot?

I actually was looking at them before to try and figure it out, It seems like only the one block matches up. All the other pieces (resistors?) seem to be different?

Well I have not been online in three years so I kind of forgot what happened to this driver. Anyway long story short I got around to testing it since I guess I destroyed it previously. The pot is not in the best condition, and I was wondering if I could replace the pot to get more current out...

Its a PHR running on about 100mA I believe not sure who made the driver because i bought the complete working module.

haha, i simply cannot find a small square mirror.

i just tried shining on just the little rod coming out of the motor and it gave me a complete 360 line but the dot was still clearly visible so, i guess i need the mirrors. hopefully that gets rid of the dot and gives me a brighter line?
