The dot on lasers when you don't twist it at all is generally pretty small and gets larger when you twist to the right unless it is something that is very close up, and in that case when twisted looser, it gets quite a bit smaller.

I can tell you now, that 522nm laser is NOWHERE near 8000 mW but if you feel like there are any problems and/or your vision gets worse, see a doctor immediately. You are probably fine, but it's better safe than sorry. Simply an irresponsible move.
