Hi Jerry, Between work, a divorce (which damn near bankrupted me) and other matters, I've had little time for hobbies. I have some projects I've wanted to do for a long time now and over the winter, I should have some extra time. Thanks for asking! :)
Good luck with that... I've returned a couple of those KD 50mW CR2 lasers and they've never let me ship them to a US address. I always had to send them to a Hong Kong address and it takes 3-4 weeks for them to receive it.
It's relative I suppose. One end of the focus range appears to be infinity. Adjusting the focus from there just brings the focus closer and closer to the laser. It appears that the focal distance is about 2" from the aperture at the other end of the range. My picture was of the spot with the...
I snapped a picture of the beam fully expanded by the focusing lens. This shot is from about 6 feet away. It was interesting to note that when first turning it on, the beam is sort of square shaped but quickly (~1sec.) shifts to a nice, round TEM00 mode and stabilizes there.
The stock battery seems fine. It certainly lasts a long time.. I've been working (playing) with it quite a bit and it seems to run for hours on a single charge. I also picked up a UltraFire WF-137 charger and two extra UltraFire 18650 batteries on Ebay for cheap.. I haven't had a chance to even...
Re: FS: Coherent 210 Laser Power Meter
You hit it on the head.. The surplus sensor heads from Ebay were a gift at the price we got them for when they were available.
As much as I would like to help you out with this Kenom, I just can't use another one... I have more power meters than I know...
I didn't try two 3.6V CR123s.. KD was pretty specific that it works with a single 18650 3.0V/3.6V Li-ion battery or two 3.0V lithiums. Two 3.0V CR123s did work but it was a tight fit even with the unprotected cells I have on hand. I couldn't screw the battery cap on quite all the way. Protected...
SOLD
This is a spare Coherent 210 Laser Power Meter unit I've had around for a bit. I only have one 210 sensor head but the Coherent sensor heads from the surplus meter assemblies work just as good if not better. This one includes the sensor head from the surplus meter assembly, stand...
Yea.. About 8-10 days after the KD web site reported it as shipped. I was never able to pull up any tracking through the Hong Kong post. I was a little surprised when it showed up.
You can't make filter incoherent light to make coherent light. Coherence is a characteristic of light waves that are in phase.
High End Systems used to market an "Emulator" that did a pretty darn good job of simulating laser beam effects and even limited projected graphics. Check out this...
Re: KD 150mW Baton style DPSS laser doing its thin
No fog.. just a little smoke in the room from burning stuff.
I tried to "pop" a popcorn kernel... No "pop" but a lot of smoke.
