Great read keck thanks for putting all that into perspective. Pretty sure the expansion lens is gone forever so it's an 808nm laser unless I can either find the lens or successfully remove the KTP for a 1064nm laser... but I'd imagine that would need the expansion lens too.

I just got that 405nm laser from sanwu. Unfortunately it's defective and super dim. I sent an email with pictures to them and they're sending me another one! So yeah it's more expensive but they back up their product. The 301-304 lasers are sometimes complete junk, so buy a few so you'll get 1...

I have 2 sets of safety goggles that block 808nm. Are you telling me viewing the beam (not the dot) without goggles is going to damage my eyes? Because I kind of doubt that. I don't see a faint red glow I see a vibrant yet deep red line, the beam itself. So anyway what's a good solvent for that...
