is yr 26650 a button top(protected cell)
flat tops are shorter
SOME JLs are better for the longer ones- and others sometimes required a spacer=

perhaps when you put your cap back together it was 'seated' less towards the rear??

so you can't even get it to thread at all?
pr just not far enough?








some JLs were made for those but that meant a spacer for non button (flat tops)
