To ressurect an old thread, ive just noticed a defect on a laser diode i just got into a host. Ive attached the photo. Im running a 445 diode at 800mA, and showing a defect when i leave my glass lens off, and just project the bare diode. Any thoughts?
Hey so this may be (and probably is) a crazy idea, but has anyone tried water cooling a housed and heat(sunk) 445 or any laser diode.
So you have the diode, then the aixiz housing (or whatever) then the heatsink, and then hollow copper tubing spun around the heatsink ran by a battery powered...
SO I was wondering if there are any 635 nm diodes that can give a significant amount of power (100+ mw) while still being moderately affordable? (under 1k) This is for a DIY build.
Thanks.
Do a DIY 4171 or 18650 build with the new 445 nm diodes from casio. I just finished mine for about 150 bucks. Its at 600 mA, for longevity. It will last awhile.
Do you think I would be better off, buying a 589nm laser pointer off of laser glow rather than attempting to make it? BTW, how does a 5 - 10 mW 589 nm laser look at night, (for astronomy purposes?)
SO the title says it all, I was wondering where I can buy laser diodes for either yellow or orange color lasers, or just lasers themselves. Anyways, any help would be much appreciated. Are they affordable? Too expensive?
SO. You take the time to post that, while ignoring my original inquiry, looks like etiquette is going the way of the dinosaurs on the 445 forum. And I did not find the information I was looking for while searching the forum.
So I heard there is a new lens from aixiz, that is specific to 445 nm, and I was wondering where I could order this from, as well as some new a 140 or a 150 diodes. Thank you!
BTW, A fun little update, I have have bought a Le Blond lathe for 1200 and it is Incredible, granted moving it was a...
So I have just completed my first 445 build with a 4171 host, and a microboost,
and I was wondering, what are the specs of the 18650 I need to be looking for and what voltage and mAh are they?
Thank you.
