I'll chip in here with some relevant links that I found..... a 1W 445nm blue laser has a "visual hazard distance" of 4.8 nautical miles. A 1W 533nm Green laser on the other hand has a visual hazard distance of 25.5 nautical miles...

You're right. My laser is the (probably) 1-1.25W blue "burning" laser in the gatling style housing sold on Amazon. I don't have an LPM so I have no idea how to judge the actual power but based on videos I've seen and others comments about that laser I'm guessing it's between 1W and 1.25W if...

I've gathered it's not a very good idea to turn on your laser and just leave it on from a full charge until the batteries are completely drained because of heat issues. - But in theory, I'm wondering how long 2x 16340's batts fully charged and turn the laser on - how long will the laser beam...

Oh I don't mind. I assume the price of 4 x of those batteries is a good chunk of $$$ for some people and while I don't like wasting $$$, the price for 4x *TO ME* wasn't the end of the world so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not sure how / or where / I'd go to get someone to "bore" it out...
