    Do these look good?

So, I got these (and the other pair at $29.95 I mentioned in my other post here). They are definitely ex-Military, and manufactures in 1975! So the foam rubber is kind of dried out and crumbly, but the lenses are in great shape, and I think these work pretty well. I can barely see the light from...

    FYI - Cheap 532nm Goggles

Well, I got these goggles. I'm not sure what I'm looking for when I take the picture of the dot, however! Also, I do think they are OK, since when I bounce the beam off the wall in my cube (and I'm not wearing the goggles) I can barely stand to look at the diffuse reflected light from the...

Got my DL 95mw - Now What?

So... Just an update: I finally got two different pairs of goggles: one Mil surplus from a guy in Hawaii (via eBay) and the other from a company that makes laser gunsights (see the thread I started in the "Safety" section). Now I just have to test the goggles (I think they're OK) and find time...

    FYI - Cheap 532nm Goggles

OK, I found this website today: http://www.lasersale.com/catalog/display_item.asp?id=1398 They have goggles for $29.95, but they don't give any specs. When I wrote to them to ask what wavelength they block, this is what I got back: 533nm? Close enough? But what else can I expect from a...

    Do these look good?

Yeah, well I already ordered a pair! I guess I'll find out! I figure at that price, even with shipping, how can I go wrong? Thanks, King! Drew

    Do these look good?

I just saw an ad on eBay for some military surplus laser protection goggles... Do these look like they'd be OK to anyone out there? http://cgi.ebay.com/MILITARY-LASER-BALLISTIC-PROTECTION-GOGGLE-SUN-WIND_W0QQitemZ330069802328QQihZ014QQcategoryZ21230QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem Save...

    OD - A question

I found a site that sells 532nm goggles for $45 (US), but it says the OD is 10 for the goggles. Does that mean I won't be able to see anything? Help!? Here's the link: http://www.controloptics.com/product_lasercontrol.htm Hmm... That may be $45 Canadian... I just wrote to find out how to...

Got my DL 95mw - Now What?

One thing that I CAN say is that the beam is totally visible when I shine it in a deserted conference room, even with the lights (flourescent) on!

Got my DL 95mw - Now What?

I can't say yet, since I'm at work, and haven't had a chance to play around, but it's MUCH more powerful (as far as brightness goes) than the 5mw. I got some more batteries, so I've been able to play with them a little bit, side-by-side, but I see that I really do need those goggles!!!!

Got my DL 95mw - Now What?

Hi, I'm sure this sounds stupid, but I just received my 95mw DragonLaser (I ordered it less than a week ago), and now I'm not sure what to do! Some initial comments: 1. The box it came in is rather shoddy, wood and it just kind of fell apart when I took it out of the shipping envelope. 2...

    NEW CONTEST !!!!

Maybe you could have people "research" some obscure topic (laser-related?) and give a prize to the best answer? I dunno... :P Drew

    Visible in normal light?

At about what MW does a green laser beam become visible under "normal" lighting, i.e.: office or home lighting, without any smoke or fog to assist? Curious, Drew
