    Happy with Gadgettown

Well, they sent me what I ordered and I was happy to find out that I could easily modify the 50mw into a 100mw. I've been using it a lot with the resistor bypassed and it's still going strong. 100mw red for $17. Not bad!

I guess I got a stockroom employee who was paying attention to my order slip. What were you doing with 20 flashlights?

So, I carefully took this pointer apart to see what was going on inside. No potentiometer. However, there was a resistor soldered inline with the switch and negative contact spring. I thought to myself "I wonder if this 50mw laser is the same exact laser as the 100mw laser, except they put this...

    Happy with Gadgettown

I ordered a 50mw 650nm "new wish" style red laser pointer from Gadget town last Wednesday evening. Four business days later (with the free shipping) it arrived. I'm very happy with this laser, especially given that it was only $16.99. It is easily as bright as my old Pulsar that I bought years...

1 Watt Spartan Lasers BACK ON SALE!!!

The 400mw is NOT "clipped" by the aperture, at all. The dot looks just the same with the aperture removed. I own the 400mw. I know this for sure, first hand.

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

I just turned it on and slowly rotated the laser. No signs of the beam coming out at even a degree off-center. Seems perfectly aligned.

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

As is typical with CNI lasers, the Spartan just seems to be really well engineered out of good strong materials. Look how thick the aluminum head is. Look inside at that nice heavy brass heat sink. The batteries don't rattle, the switch has no play. Everything just looks like it's built to last...

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

Hi all, My 400mw made it safely across the globe to me after all. It sure did sit for a while in "ISC New York USPS" though. Here is a quick outdoor shot being shined on my driveway around 60' to 70' away. I apologize for the grainy iphone picture. But as you can see, the beam doesn't spread...

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

Well, my 400mw Spartan arrived at "Inbound International Arrival ISC New York (USPS)" on 8/8. 5 days later the tracking still says the same thing. Hopefully it isn't lost. If it arrives, I look forward to posting results of how the batteries I ordered perform.

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

Hi LaserLight, These are the batteries that I received: They don't have any ma markings on the batteries, just that they're 3.0v. If and when my 400mw Spartan arrives, I'll try them first being cautious of overheating. I am thinking that the lower current draw of the 400mw Spartan vs. your...

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

Thanks for looking into this LaserLight, much appreciated! I ordered the same 3.0v 900ma Tenergy CR123As and will just use them rather than the 3.7v Ultrafires I use in my flashlights. Thanks!

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

Hi LaserLight, Do you know if rechargeable Li Ion 3.7v RCR123A batteries are ok for use in the Spartan? Or does it have to be 3.0v? I have the 400mw Spartan on it's way to me and don't want to fry the electronics or diode. All I have on hand are 3.7v rechargeables. Thanks

Re: phr-803 12$ and lpc-815 12.5$-in stock Awesome deal Drew, just ordered a harvested PHR in an Aixiz. If you recall my "sunburn blu-ray" project from months ago, this is going to bring it back to life, thanks!! (this time I won't over-drive the diode) -Steve

    Stubby Leadlight Build

The Leadlight was originally a <5mw APC model purchased from AtlasNova about 4 years ago. The black and gold case seen above is not part of the original laser. I removed the APC window and wiring, then turned the pot to max current. It has always been a great laser, able to pop balloons and melt...
