Just to let all of you guys know, these things are worth the wait! I don't know the exact output power of mine, but it is a serious burner once you adjust the focus!
I'm loving this thing... Right now I'm trying to find/make a good cap for the aperture to prevent dust from getting in there. Currently, I'm just using a piece of scotch tape over the front end, but I want a better solution ;D
From what i've heard, the line is due to the fact that the actual diode itself emits a rectangular beam, and without extremely precise and expensive optics this line appears when trying to convert that rectangle into a dot.
holy S***!! These things are AMAZING burners. I was messing with the focus and got the focal point at about 1 ft from the aperture (the dot was about the size of the tip of a pin) anything, as long as it isnt white, goes up in smoke instantly. Needless to say at about 5 feet the dot is the size...
Thanks, I'll give that a try. Right now it seems to be adjusted for far away pointing. This thing has a hell of a small divergence! I just have to find something that will fit in the notches to adjust it.
By the way, I got the trit vials too... THANKS!
