Looking to buy: CNC engraving laser

I have a few contacts and could probably arrange a reasonably priced 60A PS. Only problem is that I have no experience with FAP lasers. Would I still couple an optic fiber to the unit? How do I (do I need to) collimate the beam?

Looking to buy: CNC engraving laser

Hi All, I currently have a nice 2W module on my CNC that is serving me well. I'm considering upgrading this to a higher power so I can engrave / cut more things. My Z-axis can not support a large module because the spindle motor and 3D printing head already take up a lot of room. Anything up...

Prize: <5mW 589nm Yellow CNI Laser Pointer for banner design

Uhhh.... I'm no apple fan (don't one and never will). I'm just saying you don't get to pick what browsers your customers are using. If you're in retail, you will want to attract customers as much as possible. I'm quite familiar with flash. I've made a few online applications and banners before...

Prize: <5mW 589nm Yellow CNI Laser Pointer for banner design

Hi Chezumss, I understand what it is they are asking for. It seems to me like they don't know what they should be asking for. Regards, -0xFFFF

Prize: <5mW 589nm Yellow CNI Laser Pointer for banner design

Why were the two entry options .gif and .swf? Apple users wouldn't like this (.swf). Why not take advantage of javascript, HTML5, blah...? If I had've known about this earlier I would've submitted something that was cross browser friendly not .gif or .swf.

    Best laptop manufacturer

A few people I know are using ASUS and love it. I can't really say much about the more recent models but they've definitely got my vote. I have a little 1001HA which has been running for over 14 months.

    Post your: Desk/Work area!

CUDA is amazing. If I ever figure out how to con the Mrs in to letting me build a quad CUDA Tesla machine... well. One of my colleagues has suggested I listen to his wise words: "It's better to ask for forgivness than to ask for a new [insert something your wife doesn't like here].". After...

Hi InfinitusEquitas, The monitors from L to R are: 19", 24", 24", 19" The cases are Lian-Li 2010's. The cases are a lot larger than what they seem in the picture. They're designed for number crunching (lotta GPUs). I'd give it up for wannaburn's setup though. That's awesome! -0xFFFF

    G'day...

Hi Everyone, I'm new to lasers and optics. I've got a few projects I'd like to get started on possibly sometime this year. I'm a fully qualified nerd. I spend time making various electronic projects using all sorts of microcontrollers. When I'm not doing that, I'm writing code. I'm looking...
