Yes it is and for a case Positive build you need to isolate the diode from the case. Kemton tape around the 12mm module . The one in the pic is sold but I have another of the same with a custom brass focus adapter.

So the teal 14500 is sold, but you have a 14500 (or similar small size) one in brass? Is it the "1x10440" one that shows up as "fullsizeoutput_a47.jpeg" in your signature? If the picture of it isn't up yet, can you PM it to me? Thanks

How does a custom focus adapter ring work with an isolated module? I suppose if I were to use an acrylic lens (which is perfectly fine for the power output of the diode/module I've got) and apply Kapton tape to the bottom of the focus ring there would be no contact...
