I don't have my phone on me at the moment. Send me a text at ---. And I'll reply in the morning.

Hi,

Just got mine today, haven't even had a chance to test it out yet.. I'm at work :-(

Anyway, just a quick word of advice, maybe it's not warranted and if it's not please feel free to correct me.

The battery provided is an Unprotected 18650. So be very very careful with it. Laser spring looks pretty long, so it should accommodate a protected battery just fine.. at least it fits based on my simple test:eek:. I'm sticking to protected, maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Looking forward to that video. Will post a review of the two I got today as soon as possible (400mw, 532nm Green torch and 1.2W 445nm Tactical). Unfortunately I also don't have an LPM..yet, would love to buy the radiant alpha but it seems to always be out of stock, and I'm tapped out for laser spending for the month. If there is anyone within 1 hour of North NJ, pm me please, i would go get these lasers tested.

P.S.-O-Like just posted a 1W version for 189.99. Only 10, so I'm guessing they are just using up the diodes that weren't good for the 1.2W version.

Nice find. I don't see who would get it though... $20 for a higher power. I think most people would just get a higher power.

Agreed. $30 for 200-300mw more power is not even a question to me. Besides, considering the quantity (10 pieces) vs the 1.2W (92 pieces at start) I really think these just didn't make the cut, so they are selling them at a lower price.

Yeah, I wish I could just buy that host. That would be sick!

Host is really really heavy, and looks a lot better than it does on their website. I do have a complaint about the laser :yabbem: but I'll cover that when I post the review, - hard to explain without pictures. Should be easy to fix though.

I actually prefer heavy hosts.

This one is very heavy. If you were to smack someone over the head with it it, would definitely feel decidedly "Tactical".

I'd love to have a very durable light, but being somewhat of a klutz I'm nowhere near building one myself... yet.

The cheaper greenies I used in the past don't seem to survive well in my pockets :-/

Ordered 22 March. Delivered today.
Peaked 1,085mW, avg 976mW.

That kind of sucks.

When I spoke with Susie she told me the lasers are all tested without waterproof lens to be >1100mw.

Even accounting for that, your laser is somewhat underspec. This makes me want to order an lpm even more. If mine is under spec... and unfortunately due to defect I did have to remove the waterproof lens... I'm gonna be very angry at o-like.

They sell a cheaper 1W model... which should have the output you just gave. If I were you I'd ask for a credit on the difference.

Re-tested with clear beam path except focus lens, laser clamped rather than handheld. Same peak @ 1,085mW slightly higher avg @ 987mW.

Cheaper 1W model was introduced *after* my order was shipped... have already SOLD it for what it is. Will ask Susie to send me 1.2W model at 1W price.

Stay tuned...

Precisely the reason I'm ordering an lpm... I have no way to tell if the laser is 1W or 1.2 or anywhere withing 200-300mW of that.

Is the beam coming out straight for you?

What is the current cunsumed from the battery?

Mine is 2400mA. When we look on it's driver's characteristics 1W 445nm laser diode driver / 200mW 405nm laser diode driver [OL-445-405-D] - $14.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products we can see:
Input current :1.6A
Output current:1.1A
With interpolating of this measures we can get the level of actual output current of Tactical laser - Input current :2.4A & Output current:1.65A ! The diod power must be over 1,4W. If we take into account the power loss in the lens, we obtain the value of 1,1-1,2 W.

Made a short video:

Gotta love the host. Focused this laser burns very well.

With today's delivery O-like is not 3/4 with lasers being as promised. Hopefully LPM results don't leave me disappointed though.
