I just spotted this on DX's new arrivals section.
30mW 532nm Stars Light Show Special Effects Green Laser Pen (1*AAA)
DealExtreme: $13.45 30mW 532nm Stars Light Show Special Effects Green Laser Pen (1*AAA)
$13.45 Shipped
It looks exactly the same as O-likes (Except Colour):
2 in1 Smallest green star laser pen
2 in1 Smallest green star laser pen£*>5~200mw green laser pointer£*>Laser&lighting products£*>www.0-like.com
$26 Shipped

In ofekgg's review of the o-like he notes that "susie test it 26-29 mw"

I've read a few times on the forums that DX gets QC rejects so that they can sell them cheap....

Anyone: What are you thoughts on QC rejects?

I might buy it anyway since the price is so low. I just don't like buying stuff that isn't as 'advertised'...
In any case I have a Laserbee I to test it or.... Laserbee's 'Optical Laser Power Meter Sensor Module' if it comes up less than 5mW....

I just put in an order for the laser on DX.
I’ll put something up once it comes in the mail.

Finally got the laser in late December '09 and have finally just tested it now... I've been out of the scene for a while.... Until I got my Photonic Disruptor Pro in the mail today!!!
DX laser Testing:
With fresh batteries my Laserbee read the actual 'constant' output at 17mW. (Peaking at 19)
Not really surprising coming from DX.
It's a nice tiny little package (just as pictured on DX) with the diffraction grating doing a neat job. The grating allows you to adjust the pattern without loosening the cap.
For half the price of the similar o-like and 2/3'rds the power output the DX is fine with me.

Cheers

I'm pretty sure they aren't rejects, I just got one from DC recently and it was fine. Besides, companies that make these dirt cheap green lasers really don't have rejects because they don't test their lasers before sending them off to a reseller.
