The challenger II is really good, I have two of them and I highly recommend getting one. Also for 300 euros u don't need to look into other companies and buy trash from wicked or zeus :D I would take the 4.5W 470nm in Challenger II from Sanwu and some Eaglepair goggles OD6-7.
I've been into laser pointers for a while now having bought a lot of devices from the major laser companies out there and of course I check this forum for info, reviews etc.
However l've been noticing some hostility towards wickedlasers and zeuslasers on this thread. I have to ask why though since both companies are established and offer great products for the price.
Why does it feel like this is a promotional website instead of an unbiased forum?
I have bought stuff from wicked, zeus, sanwu and laserpointerstore. All of the green 520nm lasers that I have from the above companies are of similar good quality as all of them use exactly the same diode as I noticed when I tried to disasemble them. So the differnce between company to company is the customer service, the prices and honesty of the merchant.
I know you won't like this but zeus and wicked do offer unbeatable customer service and that is non negotiable.
I'm not trying to promote anyone here but it really gets me when you try to promote some specific websites and
discredit websites that are actually well worth ordering from.

I like websites that offer reasonably priced lasers. Zeus and Wicked do not

Exactly (y)

And with laser pointer store and zeus you get inferior mass produced low quality crapola product by comparison that costs maybe
25% from the real manufacturers selling price probably lower than those resellers.
JetLasers is a much better and a quality choice at reasonable prices + actually best customer service in the business both before and after a sale.

I know you won't like this but Zeus and wicked do offer unbeatable customer service and that is non negotiable.

LPF members are not promoting or favoring any particular maker or reseller web site without good to excellent reasons or for marketing BS reasons. They go by experience in the real world generally speaking.

Do you mean the Chinese outlaw resellers will hold your hand while ripping you off by "unbeatable customer service"?
I imagine you can find "unbeatable customer service:" people in a lot of places who will buy and resell you any product of any kind on the market anywhere for double or triple what it costs them. Could probably generate a line of them 500 people long or longer who are willing to do same, so... nothing special about that.

I checked the links , however the prices mentioned above are without accessories and shipping (jetlasers)
So the final prices is about 80-100$ more.

The accessories Zeus includes are pretty much low end low quality mostly worthless junk that the suppliers to Zeus supply with the lasrs they sell to Zeus as well--certainly Zeus not doing anybody any favors. The items on their accessories page are also mostly the same junk novelty toy quality especially the laser glasses/goggles.
The Zeus lasers glasses are garbage worth $1.00 retail. If you entrust your eyes to those good luck---you can buy 10 pair of them on eBay for $11.78 including shipping--retail price. See: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10Pack-Laser-Safety-Glasses-Goggles-For-190nm-540nm-green-purple-blue-Lazer-Pen/324150449310?_trkparms=aid=1110009&algo=SPLICE.COMPLISTINGS&ao=1&asc=228095&meid=099eb38bcbb649829eee155f29b67450&pid=100008&rk=4&rkt=12&sd=324207113502&itm=324150449310&pmt=1&noa=0&pg=2047675&algv=default&brand=Unbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219

Safety is comes 1st. Good quaity laser goggles/glasses are a must.
Most LPF members choose Eagle Pair-- excellent goggles/glasses at reasonably low cost for the protection gained.
They can be purchased here and there is good video also showing how bad the cheap glasses are, as well see: https://www.survivallaser.com/safety_goggles/cat556089_826120.aspx:

Websites such as Sanwu and Jetlasers are well known. Countless members here have purchased from them and are happy customers. I have read about their customer service and the only boo-boo i've seen is regarding shipping, which is not really their fault. Wicked lasers used to be a legit site a decade ago i think, but now they have expanded a lot and it seems that their quality in general was not what it used to be. Zeus lasers... never heard of it. TBH i barely care about other commercial laser sellers since they all look sketchy to me.

IMO most commercial laser sellers are crap. Its like all of them are designed to rip you off. Its always the same formula, some photoshoped images of laser pointers, some cheapo website. They buy from an OEM, rebrand the thing and sell it to the general public, who are non the wiser when it comes to the actual price and value of what they are buying. Some sellers also steal content from people such as styropyro, DTR ,etc for their own marketing. In general it is safe to assume that most of the commercial laser pointer sellers are just...shit...

Well since the purchase is already completed, nothing much can be done about it.
It can be hard to see replies from forum members here bashing the place where you purchased your laser from but we are just telling the truth. We feel the same frustration when we see people falling for shitty companies and therefore some of us might word our reply in a more aggressive manner.

Well IMO, just take this whole ordeal as a costly lesson and learn from it. Take good care of the laser pointer when you receive it. Study it's weaknesses (melting lens, duty cycle etc) and try to improve on it (FYI: most commercial blue lasers tend to ship with acrylic lens that melt under the strong laser radiation, therefore changing to a glass lens would be needed). Just do whatever you can do prolong the life of the laser pointer to make sure your investment stays alive as long as possible.

Personal tip: Now that you are a member here, do make use of the resources here and study how to make a laser pointer yourself. Study the older posts and stickies, they teach a lot about how a laser pointer operates. Heck, i joined a year ago and can now build my own laser pointers. You can't get ripped off once you know how much the components and labour costs to make a laser pointer.

Oh really?

Did you even read what they are saying:
Oxlasers:
1* 1W GREEN LASER
1* BATTERY CHARGER
1*SAFETY GOGGLES ( FOR 405NM , 532NM AND 445NM )
1* metal case

-Secondly:
Jetlasers are offering high quality plastic cases for laser similar than Pelican Cases as low as 30 USD. I can bought crappy aluminium cases from local hardware store as low as 8 Eur.

-Thirdly:
Sending Lithium batteries via Airmail is ILLEGAL!!
This is the reason why Jetlasers etc won't offer them in same package. -Personally I wont put any other brand batteries to my lasers than Panasonic/Keepower and Efest.

BTW.. How's the weather is on Cyprus ?!
-VPN or Proxy server won't help you.. I can C U

- Perma Ban means Permanent, you are not welcome here anymore.

Let this thread die with all this crap

EDIT:
He's on your northern radar and also on my southern radar. (y) :ROFLMAO:
I channel all my intelligence through Pine Gap, which gives me direct access to Norad.

Good to see you again, Tero, my friend.

Well, I build my 525 with one of trinhs beautiful solid brass pen hosts, Top of the line lenses, drivers, Copper module, Custom solid brass focusing ring, and dichroic window on the top of the laser to keep the dust out of the main lens and it costed meee.... ~145 euros (160$) So yea For the price of a single Zeus laser I could build 2.. Not to mention that the Zeus laser will have a shitty Chinese driver with a bottom end 2E glass lens, Same goes for WL too, just worse prices... Not to mention that you can get one from sanwu for 305$ as snecho mentioned, Also don't even try to play the accessory game. From all Chinese lasers we have seen these statements are true every time:
Most bottom of the barrel, not even decent batteries
Unreliable at best charger
Goggles that not even barely work
And carrying case that falls apart

Yikes. First time i have seen this in the laser community. I know the prices of some earphones/headphones can shoot up in the same day when some youtuber drops a review on them. All the more reason to go DIY.

The only issue is that I don't have a lithography laboratory to create my own InGaN laser diodes... over half the laser's (green) price is hard-set
