Hi, I noticed that Dragon Lasers produces 589nm 10mw modules. I was curious if it would be as simple for someone to just build a host and put the module in? If so, I would be very interested in doing so!

I can't link it because of my lack of posts but it is very easy to find on their website. :)

Ah ok, thanks! I see that DL could get it to me in about 7-12 days. Would it be easier to go through them over CNI because I have heard they take quite a while to respond to requests? Also, I appreciate the recommendation I will definitely try and pm him! :)(y)

Dragon Laers does not make anything. All they do is order and resell CNI products sometimes a prices lower than factory direct sometimes not.

For CNI modules see: PS The modules are expensive.

Lifetime17 could custom make a a host for you to fit a CNI module and driver if you supply the module I wold guess--see his work here:

the modules are perfect for building a 589nm pointer. Just got one a couple of months ago. The module does around 20mW. But you need an additional lens to properly focus. Also the driver attached to the module is of quite bad quality (guess it’s just a linear) and heats up very quickly. Need to replace soon. For now I‘m running it at around 2.8 volts. No more issue regarding to heat.

and yes, 589nm is one of most $$$ wavelength
