No, but, I can tell you that all that do use 16340 batteries which are on the edge of giving you what is needed for driving them. You still really do get what you pay for. You pay extra for heat sinking and for larger battery capacity. I only have one laser that is a 445nm M140 build that came from China and I paid $20.00 for shipping it to me so that I could review it. All the others I built myself. At least a dozen M140 lasers.

Alright thanks for all the help!
I was wondering how you guys learned so much about lasers because I'm a fairly new person when it comes to this stuff and I'd like to learn why each part is important for a laser and how to effectively build them

Jaxson, when I joined I knew absolutely nothing. Even when I got my first laser 1W laser built for me I didn't even know what and were the diode was. Later I got a idea where it was and what it looked like but still doubted myself because it was so small and didn't think something so little was that powerful. G2 and 3 element lenses confused me and I was told my build was to have a 3 element lens and came with a G2 lens instead and I thought all the lenses came out in shipping. I even panniced and posted.
Just read and read and keep reading all the posts new and old ones.
The format was a bit easier though a couple years ago but still just lurk and read and ask.
Dtr's sight is also a wealth of info and look at his diodes and how he sets them up in modules and how he tests each of them.
It will come and you, and I still laugh at myself when I look at some old posts of mine..

Thanks I'll go check DTR but I haven't seen any builds just his shop

Survival Lasers offers hosts that you can buy. You also have the option of having one made for you by members here like Lifetime17, Trinh Hong Phoc, and if you aren't in the US I believe Grainde may still have some available from Sinner who used to make some of the best hosts we had before he quit.

I'm assuming that a 20mm host is too big? That's all I'm finding on survival lasers

You mean a 20mm copper module?
There is just no comparison with a $50 Thor or Gattling gun type host blue 1W+ laser to one made with top notch SXD driver and a brand new diode that DTR sells.
Yes the Thors and Gattlings are good starter lasers and can last but your set on building one.
Take a look at DTR's PLTB450B1 diode/module setup for $68. It's a complete setup with the diode pressed into the module and the driver attached and set to 1.8A, with the 2 wires ready to go into a host.
Lifetime 17 has a few plug and play hosts with 2 wires that are ready to connect to DTR's module and you just slide in it and done.
The PLTB450B1 is capable of 2W+ and has a great beam and spot.
These hosts are from Lifetime17 and have DTR's module setup.

He has a few build links somewhere but the best info is his testing of each diode he has for sale.
He shows them powered on a Bench Supply and slowly increases the Amps till it shows there max output and when the start to fold back in power or just plain burn out.
Drivers and and how to set them if they don't have a "pot" screw. Which are boost or buck or both.

Again look at member builds too over the years too. You will learn way sooner than you think..

Alright thanks I'll take a look at it. Could you send me a link to the PLTB450B1 build?

There is no specific build that I know with this diode but it's just a diode like all others. My blue build I posted just happens to have one and is a great diode.
Just go to DTR's sight and look at his diodes. He has them bare for just $23 and in a 12mm module and driver already set for $68. You can add what ever lens to it on his sight.
It's labeled as 1.6W under the name but at 1.8A it will do 2W and more. These diodes are becoming harder to find. I also am pushing this diode as you seem to be on a budget. Again it also has a bit of a nicer beam and spot than a M140.

So if I were to buy the diode already pressed into the module I would still need two lithium ion batteries, a host, and an SXD driver?

The $68 option has the SXD driver attached and set to 1.8A most likely unless you ask him to set it higher which isn't recommended. You just need to select a lens for it, or get the lens from somewhere else and screw it on yourself.
Then yes you need a host and lithium batterys.

So the sxd driver is already included in the $68 module that is premade?
